Long Island Smash Scene?

I'm new to the competitive scene and playing rounds against my brother constantly just isn't going to cut it much longer so I'm looking for bigger, better challenges. I've seen a few threads mentioning tournaments/gathering in NYC, but I wanted to know if there is any competitive play in Long Island outside of NYC. Thanks!
