Mario Kart Tournament SLOTS FULL!!!! FINALS!!! good luck to Salem and Mcmuff1nman!

Mario Kart Tournament

ok guys so this is my first(hopefully successful)attempt at hosting a tournament of my own!
this is a tournament based solely off of the Mario Kart franchise.

Rules

-3 Stock
-8 Minute Time Limit
-items: I think that this being a mario kart tournament, we have items that have been in the franchise multiple times! these items are:
Mushroom
Poison Mushroom
Lightning Bolt
Star-Man
Green Shell
Bananas
-The items will be on LOW
-The winner will be chosen by best 2/3 but the finals will be 3/5
this IS a single elimination tournament(you lose, you OUT!)
The ONLY stages that will be considered as Legal will be:
Neutral Stage
Mario Circuit

Counterpick Stages
Delfino Plaza
Luigis mansion
Rainbow Cruise

(I figure it's only neccessary to have those and only those stages)
-Stalling at all is prohibited
-NO JOHNS!
-This will be a 16-man tournament
-the only legal characters ALSO are the only characters that have ever appeared in a mario kart game:
Mario :mario2:
Luigi :luigi2:
Peach :peach:
Bowser :bowser2:
Wario :warioc:
Yoshi :yoshi2:
Donkey Kong :dk2:
Diddy Kong :diddy:
R.O.B :rob:
I will let each participant choose up to 2 characters to play with
-if there is unplayable lag, a coin flip will be decided by who gets to move on to the next round.
-if the 8 minute time limit happens to run out of time, the winner will be decided on who has the most stock.
if each player has the same amount of stock, it will be chosen by who has the least amount of HP%
and if, for some reason, THAT is tied, the competitors will go into a sudden death match to decide who wins that match.
(Sudden Death matches will be one stock, and there will be NO time limit)

Hey sammy, that was quick of you to start this idea up lol but you missed a few things in this tournament. >_< I'll point out with the important ones first.

  1. - You havn’t mentioned whether items are on “low/medium/high”.
  2. - You havn’t mentioned if this tournament is single/double elimination, you might wanna go easy on this and start off with single elimination.
  3. - You forgot this rule “If timer runs out having 2 participants with the same stock, the lowest % wins” or “Sudden death will be played if timer runs outs”
  4. - I know this is Mario Kart themed but what about the other Mario stages such Delfino Plaza? Yoshi’s Island? (Brawl) People might want a Counterpick stage.
  5. - You might wanna put the “only characters allowed” part at the Top of the rules or Bottom, it looks quite messy like that atm.
  6. - One last rule. “No johns”.

SUGGESTION:
You should put a deadline so that your tournament doesn't take over two months to finish. Try about 4 days over the weekend for round 1 and so on. Don't forget to send reminders to all the participants.

Why isn't Yoshi's Island(Melee) available? Donut Plains looks just like it.

well yoshis island isnt a stage because it was originally selected to be represented by yoshi, and the yoshi games. not any of the characters such as mari luigi peach and bowser(if that makes sense at all)

and dont worry about that uber mario. i'll be lenient about giving people an extra day or so to finish their matches, but not TOO much longer!:)

oh also, i forgot to mention, but if you didnt know it already, this tounament wont have a prize. the closest thing you get to a prize IS...... BRAGGING RIGHTS! lol
