Ideally if you're using D-throw D-tilt at high percents like you should be, it should at minimum get your opponent to the ledge, which is a good advantage to be in.

And by the way it's entirely possible to react to which side your opponent lands on when they miss a tech and get a combo.

if they don't tech roll then yes, you have time to choose your option definitely.

I'm not very confident in Dtilt hitting them from one side of the stage to the other, even at high percents :s
