You has a Tier 22 GPU (CPU Graphics).

But hey, if you want to try Dolphin, try it.

---
I'm not sure you're factoring in the fact that sandy bridge core processors essentially doubles Intel HD Graphics 3000's performance. So I'm pretty sure a core i5 sandy bridge HD 3000's graphics card is much more powerful than tier 22. Guess we'll find out soon enough when I get my new computer.

Like I said I hope you're wrong lol. I really wanna play some melee online.

You need to use THIS EXACT VERSION OF DOLPHIN AND CONFIGURATION:

64-bit Only: http://www.mediafire.com/?e5nj7ixnaxr6h4x

When you play, you both need to use the same Gamepad Input, either you both use DInput or you both use SDL.

Has to be the same for both players.

Make sure Final Destination is the only stage on Random Select.

After Dying, wait 5 seconds before continuing. Dying off the top is random, its either you die as a shooting star or instantly.
So should I download this or the one that's in the OP?

There are both the same config: R6225.

---

We tried playing with the newest ones. It became Slo-Mo / Desync.

R6225 is what worked best.

Unless Dolphin's Netplay has changed since January, R6225 is still the way to go.

---

HD3000 is Tier 22. Thats the highest it will go.

The GPU Tier list you see are the cards running at Maximum capacity with a beast CPU powering it.

Update me on what happens when you play SSBM on Dolphin.

Just buy a dedicated GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130568

That works :p

Or you can find a different card / less.

The version for download already has a save file.

Start the game. If it says corrupted: Format it + Save New Game File.

Exit Game.

You should see " GALE_SuperSmashBros0110290334.gci " in the folder somewhere.

Under Tools -> Memcard Manager: Browse for Memory Card A thats in: "Netplay 64-bit Dolphin R6225\Dolphin R6225\User\GC"

After Selecting Memory Card A, hit "Delete" at the bottom of the window.

Then select: Import GCI, and find "GALE_SuperSmashBros0110290334.gci."

Finished.
I did everything and I didn't get a corrupt message and all the characters are there so should I import anyways? I think I'm gonna do it just to be safe.

Also, how is everybody playing? I'm using my Gamecube controller and I have everything working perfectly.

edit: anybody want to play? I'm in So cal so anybody nearby would be cool.

Easily up for testing it, havent gotten a converter but playing with the keyboard opens up the mind for new options. Just PM me if you know how to get it working online(connecting) and I´ll be up for a few matches easily!

eh, mine runs very close to 60fps...it sometimes goes into 50s, but as long as the stage is BF, FD, YS, or DL64, I should be good lol.

The decent internet may be a problem :c

For some reason I can't run the dolphin exe..
anyone know of some quick troubleshooting options?
When I run Dolphin it bugs. I have to right click the Dolphin application on my taskbar and click "Dolphin.exe" and then it runs another executable which works normally.

hmm, tried that, but now it says it doesn't work w/ my windows version.
Since this is an 10' version for dolphin do I need a newer version?
(I see you're on vista; I has windows 7)

Could be. I got Windows 7 and I'm using the latest Dolphin and it runs fine for me.

No I'm on 7. I use the older taskbar look out of preference.

Also, the version of Dolphin that this thread provides doesn't run the iso properly for me. Maybe I find the same version on the dolphin site and install it regularly unless there are plugins. Also, having people online with different emulator versions can cause a bit of lag and desyncing. Happens with Smash 64 Kaillera net play.

Did you make sure to check if your computer can even run Melee properly? Post your specs.

Um, I think these are my specs(?) :dizzy:
Processor: Intel(R) Pentium (R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz 2.99 GHz
Installed memory (RAM: 2.00 GB (1.75 GB usable)
System type: 32-bit Operating System
Graphics card: ANI RADEON XPRESS 1100 Series

Yeah, that CPU isn't gonna run Melee at a good speed. Though, it has nothing to do with why you can't see anything on screen. Are you on a laptop? Your graphics card looks like it's an integrated one and that's usually not good for gaming.

Hi!
Do we still have to be able to run it at full speed without dual core mode on?

Here are my specs, tell me what you think (it's a laptop):

intel core i7 2630QM 2.0 GHz
Nvidia Geforce GT 550M 2GB
8GB of RAM

I tried playing online melee with someone else, but we kept DSing. I'm not sure we were using the exact same emulator and settings though.

I have a question regarding DSP-HLE "Null Audio" and DSP-LLE. I can't find the "Null Audio" option but I can't run melee with DSP-LLE because it says i'm missing ROM files.

Is it possible to run netplay on DSP-HLE? Because right now I'm having trouble getting it to work. If someone is on the West Coast and can host then we should be compatible. AIM/PM me :D

Bump, I have the same question as him. Actually, what would be even better would be an in-depth tutorial in how to setup netplay for dumsh*ts like me XP

So can anyone help a guy out?

What about these specs. Is this computer too weak?
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU M 460 @ 2.53GHz
Memory: 4.00 GB

These specs seem alright.

I have the same specs...I can run Melee at full speed on FD, BF, DL64, and near perfect speed on YS. It might require that you turn certain options on, but apart from that, it should run perfectly on stages that don't have a heavy amount of background activity.

What about graphics? (kind of important also)

EDIT:

I had a problem with framerate while online despite my beast computer. Ensuring the memory cards were synced fixed it.

Also, dual-core enabled may help speed the framerate.

Beware desyncing tho

We were unable to get any game completely synced except for a Marth ditto on FD
