Moveset Changes

Besides from needing a new Final Smash and adding rockets to her kick attacks what else has changed?

She has a new recovery but is is a replacement for her up or down B? And will her side B still help recovery?

New recovery definitely replaces the tether whip. Between Olimar, ZSS, and the seeming removal of Ivysaur, tether recoveries are a thing of the past.

I wouldn't say that for sure. Samus' Zair and Link's Zair could still be tether recoveries. (Providing Zairs are still in the game )

Her Plasma Whip (Side Special) looks the same, at least on the ground. Tethering ledges is something we are yet to watch

The only thing I get from her new UpB is we now have a good OoS option!!!

I'm happy about this, because I doubt we'll get suit pieces back, which were a godlike OoS option, and this also makes her far less easy to gimp off stage, compared to Brawl. If she wasn't so easy to gimp in Brawl she would've been one of the best characters.

Neutral B still seems to be the plasma gun, but I'm not sure if there has been any changes to it. I'm guessing that it will still be a charge up stun.

I've been scouring the internet to try to figure out what her moveset will be. Here's what I've got:

Jab: Same, there are pictures of the first and last hit
Grab: Same :/
Tilts: All the same
Up-Smash: No pictures yet, would not be surprised it if changed
Down Smash: Same
F-Smash: New spin-kick move
Aerials: All the same

I think the picture with her doing the Knee of Justice could possibly be her pummel. You can see some electricity besides her, but I'm not sure if it's just visual effects or part of her whip.

Also, free 40-50% combo down-smash is back!

With an Up B that travels up on its own (seems to go a decent distance and angle too), Side B still being the whip (and Link showing us that Zair tethers are still apparently a thing) and her Down B all back, she's going to be really hard to kill (unless she enters helpless state after using Down B).

Considering her pose, I think it's safe to say that it's part of her down-B. I think you can also see those flashes on another pic where she has a pose similar to her down-B.

But, to answer your question, no, there is concrete proof yet or any mention by Sakurai.

@9:50 we see link using zair at the ledge, so tether recoveries are returning, just not up special tethers. so zss side special will most likely still be a tether recovery, while up special will use her new rocket boots.

The catch being that only her Side Special can tether now.

God, what I'd give for her to get Samus' Z-Air.

They released it along with other pictures after the direct. The new pose was released after it though, so this could be old.

Isnt Fsmash that double spinning kick though? I can't watch the video atm, but iirc, she never knees during it I don't think. Also her heels seem to be indicating that she's being propelled forward atm.

Can't be a pummel, both her arms are behind her. All I can think of is Dash Attack, a Throw or some weird new Down B used on the ground only thing.

i could see it as a new fsmash. shorter ranged, but much more useful than a weak whip lash that does nothing
