i don't think hickory's too far away, i've only been there a few times, but i'm pretty sure it was around 25minutes or so ._.

there's the boone crowd, sengin, myself at times, dolphin, and some others in the area.
i dunno where canton is but they could be just as far as hickory from boone

there's a few at wcu, nebs goes there, but i dunno if they're there when school isn't in session

and i have a friend from the asheville area, he's a brawl guy, but i remember him saying there's basically nobody in that town who plays either smash.

You're about halfway between ASU and WCU I believe, and both of those campuses have Melee players. Once next semester starts you might be able to get some friends around there.
