New substitutions for tv setups - VGA/RGB box with a computer monitor

i can see that working very well actually. but like you said, it does depend on the monitor as well.

people complain about lag all the time playing melee on an HD TV. why not just get these HD wii cables?

wouldn't they decrease the lag?

It actually doesn't decrease it close enough to be viable for tournament. We've all tried it.

The method I stated above tho, decreased the lag more than the component cables to for me when attached to an HD tv.

yo chain whats the difference between this and just a regular vga to avg cable? i remember swiftbass had a thread like this but he said you need like a converter box to get rid of lag, a converting wire wont be sufficient alone.

the vga to rca cable is only to display computer image on a tv. It won't work vise versa unless you have the box as far as i know.
