help anyone?

I didn't want to post a new thread and this was the Q&A post I could find

1: I found post of people saying they can use trophy models in brawl but none saying how to do it. Does anyone know of a guide or how to?

Well i used a code to unlock all chars, so i never played SSE.(I have done it before but don't want to do it again) and the deal is that i don't have all songs and i need them to use music hacks well.

So please i would like some recommendation to finish fast with codes.
Example: liker super speed , 1 hit kill or anything to make it more fun.

Help

I didn't want to post a new thread and this was the only Q&A post I could find
Likewise.

As you can tell by the number of my posts, I'm new (to the forum, not SSB or computers). The Smash WorkShop caught my eye. All of the characters and stages etc. look really cool but I'm confused as H3ll. Forgive me for being a "Noob" when it comes to this stuff but I have a couple of questions.

Will Textures harm my Wii or copy of SSBB in any way?

I just want to use Textures which I can do. I'm not interested in Brawl+ or special characters (at least not right now).

Btw, I recently just got my second Wii so it's up-to-date. 'Seen a lot of posts saying something about V 4.2 and whatnot.

All of the characters and stages etc. look really cool but I'm confused as H3ll. Some people who make "guides" (like at the beginning of this thread for example), say that they're not allowed to tell you where to to get this "Homebrew" channel. Forgive me for being a "Noob" when it comes to this stuff but I have a few questions.

What is the Homebrew channel?
HBC is the medium through which you run Homebrew applications (such as geckoOS). its the main way that people access the data on their SD cards to hack games, such as brawl.

Btw, I recently just got my second Wii so it's up-to-date. 'Seen a lot of posts saying something about V 4.2 and whatnot.
there are methods available to put HBC on v4.2

Will Textures harm my Wii or copy of SSBB in any way?
the worst that will happen is if you get a bad texture and the wii freezes when it tries to load it. if that happens, just reboot and everything should be fine (you would still need to remove the bad texture though).

I just want to use Textures which I can do. I'm not interested in Brawl+ or special characters (at least not right now).
well, the good news is that you don't need to worry about any extra codes outside of the file replacement code. Its a common misconception that HBC and brawl hacking is only for B+. its not.

This last question might be ridculous but I'm kind of wary about what I download. Any of these hacks "officially" illegal in any way?
eh, HBC is technically not illegal to install, but you have to get the downloads on your own. as far as nintendo is concerned, if you do brick your wii (which unless you do some really bad stuff should not happen) nintendo will still take your wii, but give it back to you without any hacks on it. at least that was there policy, i'm not sure if it still is.

Was there a code for unlimited control scheme editing? My gamecube controllers are all broken, so I've been wiimoting for a while.

I found a combination that's decent. My gigantic gorilla hands aren't that comfortable holding the thing, but I can be pretty accurate with my attacks with this button setup:
A - Attack (never used)
D up - Jump
D over - Attack
D down - Special
B - Shield

Z - shield
C - grab (never used)

What I want to do is set one of those side Ds as a jump, to mimick the classic controller setup. That would be excellent. The CC has a bad analog stick, but the 'mote has a pretty good one. Is this possible?

I was successful at replacing mario circuit with battlefield with this code by PW, by replacing 37 with 06 and xx as 01.

waiting room replacement
4A000000 90180F3A
38000000 FF000037
10000001 000000XX
E0000000 80008000
*replace XX with stage ID
May cause Luigi's Mansion Glitch

however when i did this for more stages, none of them showed up. and i didn't do a thing to or with luigi's mansion.

Okay, after lurking on these boards for years, I've finally had to join to get some help here. I got a USB Gecko working perfectly with my (NTSC) Wii, but now I want to use it to collect hitbox data using the codes beyond the link below, and I've encountered a bizarre problem.

http://www.smashboards.com/showpost.php?p=7036291&postcount=9974

I followed the instructions of that poster exactly, but encountered a fatal error before the game could load. I tried changing the order of the codes to put the ID Fix at the top, and that seemed to work... until I got into a match, at which point attacks HAD NO HITBOXES, and came up as useless rows of zeros in WiiRD. Projectiles worked with the code perfectly, somehow, but all other attacks (except for throws, which crashed the game) passed through opponents with no effect at all. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I need this code to function correctly if I'm going to finish a project I've been working on, unless there's a better way of finding the hitbox data that someone else might know about; I've tried countless searches and found no information on doing so, yet the makers of Balanced Brawl and such clearly must have been able to do it themselves. (Speaking of which, I also need data for throws. Does anyone know of codes for that?)

Thanks for any help.

(I'm also after (usable) codes for changing character weight and shield damage dealt by specific hitboxes, if anyone knows where I can find those. Everything I'm looking for here I've been searching for for ages.)

Anyone know if they're still working on the character voice replacement thing?

I heard that it was complicated, but still being picked at.

I'm sure I asked this but I can't find my post. WANT:
- when the game loads it skips the wiimote safety strap screen and videos, instead going straight to the main menu.
- while at the main menu, pressing the B button does nothing instead of going to the press start screen.

Also want: I know there is a level freezer code. I find that it makes certain levels like Norfair and Spear Pillar more playable. I would like it better if certain events didn't occur as oppose to the level freezing entirely.
- Spear Pillar: the legendary pokemon never appear (or they appear but don't attack) but the floating platforms still move up and down.
- Castle Siege: the stage never changes but the background animation still plays (fireballs being flung at the castle)
- Norfair: the level never attacks you but the lava still flows in the background.
- Distant Planet: it never rains and the Bulborb never comes but the leaves still react when you stand on them.
You get the idea.

I don't know if this has already been asked, but I LOVE playing on the Controls Configuration (ConfigTest, ID: 26) Stage.

Is it possible to make a code that prevents it from freezing the game after a match ends?

You're going to want to look into this.

I know there's a code for CD curry, but is there a code for sticker curry?
Code:
True Item Mod: (Creates TypeB) [Phantom Wings]
4A000000 8098D528
D2000000 0000000Z
2C0600XX 40820008
38C000YY 60000000
90DD08C0 00000000
(XX = item being replaced
YY = item to replace with
Z = # of items you want to have + 3)
so for 2 items you'd have:
4A000000 8098D528
D2000000 0000000Z
2C0600XX 40820008
38C000YY 60000000
2C0600XX 40820008

SmashAttacks.exe (aka PSA) by Phantom Wings allows you to view and edit the attributes and moveset of a character (this would allow you to change character weight and shield damage). There's a guide for it but it isn't very helpful.

i ask about stage replacing, and no one answers. someone else asked 5 posts later, and it gets replied. [/whine like a baby]

does that code work for any stage? the one i used for PW works, but only the first replacement works, i tried replacing a 2nd stage and that one does not work.

Hanenbow now is wifi room:

C298D528 00000003
2C060031 40820008
38C00005 60000000
90DD08C0 00000000
C26DCEE0 00000003
A37A0022 2C1B0025 <-- 25 = hanenbow
40820008 3B600037 <-- 37 = Wifi room.
60000000 00000000

been trying this at first to have other stages instead of WWR, doesn't work, so i moved to this:
4A000000 90180F3A
38000000 FF0000XX
10000001 000000YY
E0000000 80008000

partially works so far for some odd reason.

Okay so this morning I had an idea. If they gave the wild pokemon and zamus and sheik their own character icons on the CSS, then surely we have the technology to give PSA characters their own icons, and give them their own pictures, names and CSPs using brawlbox. I imagine this would work by linking the icon to the original character, and using Almas's alternate file loader to get the PSA. Instead of a button activator though, maybe Dantarion's modification could be used to load it using alternate file names?

Unfortunately I hit a brick wall there. Since I don't code, I'm not sure what variables to change to create slots for the icons or modify the AFL. Any ideas? Has it been done already?

I've been using the Hitbox Property Mod code, the one that uses this for input, in order to alter hitboxes so far. This has been made possible by looking at the code of Balanced Brawl to get values, but as they have not changed every move, most are off limits to me without the Hitbox Data Collection code working. From what I can gather, using the PSA software will require learning an entirely new coding language and subsequently porting all the changes I've made into the new format. Unless using PSA is sufficiently easy, I would much prefer having a way to find the values for these attacks myself, either in the game or online somewhere.

Perhaps PSA will necessarily be the way I'll eventually need to go. But I just don't want to be burdened with searching through code I don't understand (possibly requiring trial and error) when, at the moment using the hitbox mod code, the process is as simple as changing values.

How to use:
This code lets you place an object that is overlapping the edge of the map grid.
While holding an object, press A and +, move it where you want, press A and -, and place the object. If you forget to press A and - you might not be able to pick the object back up. Note that the buttons must be pressed on player 1's wiimote.
SAVE BEFORE PLACING AN OBJECT LIKE THIS.
TEST THE MAP AFTER PLACING EACH OBJECT LIKE THIS.
I have noticed this code can cause very large side effects if too many objects are placed on the edge of the map, especially on large maps. I believe this is due the the object trying to wrap around the map, but the piece wraps into invalid space. Please be careful and use this code only if really needed. Side effects include:
Objects warping to the middle of the map semi-randomly.
Game freezeing.
Objects turning into a giant glitched polygon.
Constantly dying off-screen after dying once.
Please check for all of those after using this code.
I'm trying to find the character images from classic mode from before the matches start. The first match is Zelda themed so you might have a match vs Link and Sheik with Ganondorf as an ally. In that case it would show large, full images of Link and Sheik with a smaller full image of Ganon off to the side. The images are the same as the character select portraits but they are not cropped and are much larger. I've opened so many files with BrawlBox and looked through the textures and I just cannot find them. Anyone know where they are?

PSA is a program. You don't install it. You use it.

if you mean PSA hacks, you put them in

private/wii/APP/RSBE/pf/fighter/(character name)/ and then name them Fit(character name).pac

I need some help. Me and my friend are making lots of custom stages for nights we play Brawl in college. I know there is a way to remove the stage limit to create much better stages. Where do I find this/download this? Or is there a program that allows me to make custom Brawl stages and important them my SD card? + I'm not sure how to use codemanager (which is on my SD card) to input codes and make them work in Brawl+, so help with that would be much appreciated.

This probably doesn't belong to this thread but I'm not sure where to post it. Would running brawl+ on a save file with no characters/stages unlocked be fine?
