As for the website, I am not too dissapointed but I was counting on it. I had a pretty bad week thus far and little bit of good news would be welcomed. I am still half suspecting some Smash news but not really holding onto it...if I was at all.

Regardless, even if this isn't Smash news, it means we are one day closer to smash news. And like you, I think we're gonna get something soon. My "gut feeling" tells me Sakurai might do an interview or something this weekend. Even if it doesn't reveal anything "new," it at least may tell us something.

Although, Sakurai does speak cryptically, as if it is an alien tone or one that has never been heard before, and is hard to translate (in any language).

I think they will continue to throw us small scraps and food (aside from may a title or two) from here on out until a trailer (which I suspect we'll get in Fall).

I still think we're in for a 3-5 month wait, since it is 2 games instead of 1. Regardless, I hope HAL Laboratories is focusing most of their staff on it. They did a great job on Smash 64 and Melee, and much of their staff worked at Namco Bandai Games previously, including on Outfoxies (the original platform-esk fighting game). Plus, they would, alongside Sora Ltd and Namco, allow these 2 forthcoming smash bros. games to be developed faster, more efficiently, and have more content.

The most over the top manly man fighting game of all time.

Its quite old actually so seeing it make a come back is pretty surprising. It was an anime/manga that was turned into a fighting game, and man was it a big hit! Everything in that game was over the top! Mainly Dio (Who could stop time, and had a move where he dropped a freaking bulldozer on the opponent. ) What made it unique was that most character had the power to summon a "shadow" of themselves that would fight along side them and change there moves drastically. It was kinda like playing 2 characters at once, but it flowed really well. It offered alot of insane stuff you can do in it.

Persona 4 Arena's doing something similar.

Either way i'm hyped~!

I think Nintendo President Iwata said Nintendo plans to hype up games being released next year (2013) I think in September (I'm not 100% sure on the date). I've read a crap ton of Nintendo stuff from their shareholders meetings and I can't organize it in my mind thoroughly, so it's possible I'm fairly wrong. But regardless, even though Smash WiiU and 3DS won't come out next year, there is no reason for Nintendo not to allow both games to be the exception to that rule.

Smash WiiU and 3DS' graphic designers, and cut scene specialists have had plenty of time to put a short and simple teaser trailer together by September to November.

The fact Namco Bandai Games is developing Tekken X Street Fighter (on multiple platforms), Project X Zone (on multiple platforms), Super Smash Bros. WiiU, Super Smash Bros. 3DS, and now a JoJo game on the PS3 at the same time is pretty wild. Namco Bandai Games must have a lot of staff with quite a bit of experience in the development of fighting games! Certainly more than Nintendo, who has to go outside their company for quality fighting game developers (HAL Laboratories aside).

No, I'm not salty. I'm actually amused, and a bit surprised. And again, I thought there was about a 1/3rd to 1/4th chance this was smash related. So this isn't a total shocker that it wasn't smash-related. What is shocking is that it isn't Project X Zone or Tekken X Street Fighter-related. What shocks me more than anything is that Namco Bandai Games is almost as good at mind gaming us and confusing us as Sakurai is! Smash WiiU and 3DS speculation is going to be VERRRRYYYYYYY INTERESTINGGGG!!!
