Hello, ZondaFreak. Even if it's been that long since you played Brawl, don't worry about it too much; muscle memory should allow you to get back up to speed quicker than normal. If you do "suck", as you so put it, again, practice should help you get up to speed. Here's the link to the Smashboards Arena, in case you may have forgotten:

Salutations!

Now I have no idea if I'm doing this right, as most forums have an introduction sub-forum where you make a thread to introduce yourself. I apologize if I am doing this wrong.

Anyways, I've been playing Super Smash Bros. for awhile now, though only causally. I've been playing the series since the N64 version. <3 I've always loved this game, though I can't really explain why. I just have. For the moment, I main Zelda, though if I recall correctly, she's "H" tier or something like that. I'll probably keep her, just pick someone up so I'm not always struggling. I'll probably be an active member, as I've always wondered how the competitive side of the game looked like. (I'm somewhat of a competitive player of the newest Mortal Kombat)

Hope to see you around on the forums!

Hello, Squeaker101, and welcome to SWF, where dogs play 52 pick-up in the swimming pool sammywich. Anywho, you're doing the introduction correctly, unlike me when I first joined (still leaves a bad taste in my mouth to this very day... ugh!), so no worries. Glad to see you love Smash Bros.. So you're a dedicated Zelda main, huh? I shall provide you with a link to the Zelda boards to get you started in expanding your knowledge and skills with said character. As a bonus, I'll provide links to the Sheik and Competitive Brawl boards, so that you can learn the ways of Sheik to cover Zelda's weaknesses that Sheik can handle, while visiting the Competitive Brawl boards to further expand your knowledge in the current metagame. Don't be afraid to ask questions or tips concerning match-ups, counterpicks, advanced techniques, etc.; there will always be someone there to help answer your question with the best of their ability. Should you get lost, or need help involving the forum or the rules, feel free to ask your friendly neighborhood moderator, senator, or administrator for assistance. Until then, please enjoy your stay here at SWF, and we advise you pay no mind to the occasional troll, and refrain from responding to spam/advertisement threads. Also, please keep your belongings secure, as Smash World Forums are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Hello, Axle075, and welcome to SWF, where stinks are good and good smells stink. I can understand getting bored due to lack of a healthy community in your area, but do not fret, as there's a regional board where you can search for nearby tournaments, or even check out the Smashboards Arena and play others on wi-fi. Below are links to said boards and threads, as well as a Ness board to help you with your Ness game, if needed. Until then, we hope you enjoy your stay here, and be sure to ignore the occasional troll and refrain from responding to spam/advertisement threads. Hello, InternetDramaOhNoes, and welcome to SWF, where robots and pirates arm-wrestle cowboys on the moon. Glad to see you've gotten into Smash Bros.. If you want to get better, you can check out the Metagame Discussion thread to learn more about character match-ups, counterpicks, and rulesets. You can also visit the character-specific boards to learn more about your main character as well. If you want, and if you have Brawl, check out the Smashboards Arena, where you're sure to find people to play with online via wi-fi. Hey everyone, I'm Nightfirecat. I've been playing Brawl since it came out, and Melee before that, and SSB64 since before that, but I'm enjoying Brawl vastly more than the previous two. Finally decided to register on SWF instead of just lurking the Marth and Bowser boards and stuff. I'm currently maining Marth with a pocket Bowser, and I plan on picking up a couple other characters, including ICs, possibly Peach, and Toon Link.

Secondary reasoning for signing up was also to pick up TO tips, since I'm currently in the process of organizing a Smash Bros Club at my college, and trying to form a more cohesive Washington community, since it seems most of the PacWest Smashers reside in Cali.

Anyway, hoping to have a lot of fun here, learn a bunch, and meet some new peeps! :D

Hey Nightfire, glad you came out of lurking and gave registering a shot.

If you want TO tips, try asking in the Pacific West thread:
http://www.smashboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=214

And if you do have any tournies plans in the future, post them in the Pacific West Tournament thread:
http://www.smashboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=265

I would try to help but I too am trying to make a scene near my college.

Once again, welcome and enjoy your stay here!

Hello everyone!
I joined here because I'm interested in competitive super smash bros playing. Ive only played melee and brawl, but I am interested in the 64 game as well.
I've only played casually, but am hoping to get a lot better.
Im from Ohio, and i really have no idea about the Smash Community (if there is one) in my area (Columbus).
I also play lots of video games, new and old.
For melee I enjoy playing as Ganondorf and Link/Young Link and for Brawl I enjoy playing as Samus/ZSS/Toon Link/Lucas.

Thanks!

:3 Hello, I am new to the forums. I LOVE PvP games, and Smash Bros is one of my favorites. (Probably #1! :3) I like to play competitively, too. I'll brawl ANYONE of any skill level. I came here because...I once had a lot of people on my roster, and we brawled frequently, and it was so much fun. :3 Now that's all gone, everyone is dead, they quit. ;-; So, I am here to maybe fill up my Friend Roster. :3

Hey, My name is Revived and I'm new to the Forums. I've browsed here and there since late 2006ish. I've never made an account til now (that I'm aware of).

So to start off, Yes, I love smash bros (hurr go figure). I would consider my favorite/best characters to be Ike/Ganondorf/whoever else seems good for that day. I consider myself talented at all of the characters in brawl. (Read: Talented, not saying I'm god tier)

A little about myself, I love to play video games! I've strayed off a lil bit lately due to a busier lifestyle but I still manage to get some gaming in. I'm big on sports, I've played them all my life. I'm currently in college studying to become a teacher. and I'm not sure what else to post.

WARNING!!!! I do come off as a complete ******* and I will troll from time to time. It's not you, its what you post. k? <3

Hello, Revived, and welcome to SWF, where skydiving for a week will get you to land in a gas station in the middle of a sunset ocean. By the way you describe your talent, you appear as a "jack of all trades" of sorts, which is good, especially for showing off during friendlies at tournaments. That said, it's fine to live a busy life, even at the cost of activity, since after all, life is more important than online affairs, so best of luck to you on your path to being a teacher. I couldn't help but notice you fancy yourself a troll; please be advised to keep trolling at a reasonable minimum, lest you risk infractions and potential bans - be it temporary or permanent - from moderators and/or administrators. You'll find that these forums, despite being primarily about Smash Bros., has pretty much everything for everyone, so you're sure to find something that will spark your interest. If not, feel free to use the "Search" function to narrow things down, or ask a mod or admin for assistance. With that, we hope you enjoy your stay here, and pay no mind to the occasional troll. Also, refrain from responding to spam/advertisement threads; report them instead. Finally, please keep your belongings secure, as Smash World Forums are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Hey everyone!

I just recently got back into Super Smash Bros after a few years of being out a Wii/SSBB Game. Definitely looking to get back into the swing of things! Zelda is my favorite game of all time so naturally I really like using Toon/Link. However, I do find myself doing pretty well with Luigi, Diddy Kong, and Bowser! I'll be throwing up my FC a little later, so feel free to add me and we can throw down sometime! Hope to enjoy my stay here!

A little about myself: I play bass in a metal band from here in Indiana. Which consumes a lot of my time when I'm not stuck with work/school. I'm really interested in going to school for culinary at some point so maybe if I ever make it to a M&G of some sorts I could cook a little something!(assuming I don't still suck then^.^)

Hello, SamBananas, and welcome to SWF, where elbows are knees and knees are teeth. Glad to have you on board. So you main Link/Toon Link, Luigi, Diddy, and Bowser, huh? That's not bad, as it gives you options for both standard tourneys and low tier-only tourneys. Also, seeing as you're a Legend of Zelda fan, I shall provide you a link to the Zelda boards (not to be confused with the actual character's boards), where you can discuss various topics regarding The Legend of Zelda. I also see you're in a metal band, which is nice, so I'll provide a link to a metal music thread in the Media Metropolis. Also, I wish you the best of luck in your culinary endeavors; it would be nice to have an actual chef on the boards... then again, I haven't been around ALL the boards to see if any member here is actually a chef. Until then, we hope you enjoy your stay here at SWF, and be sure to ignore the occasional troll. Also, refrain from responding to spam/advertisement threads. Hello! Illuvial here, I am currently a somewhat casual Smash player who has been DIEING to get into the competitive scene for quite some time now. Before I owned the game I mained Pit, then I moved on to Snake once I started playing more, and now I main Marth as of last night (lol). I am not all that skilled at the game. But based on my past experiences with the forum, I am sure I can find all the info I need to level up my game!

Other games I play are:
-Soul Calibur V
-Playstation All-Stars (once it releases)
-League of Legends
-Tony Hawk Pro Skater (mainly THPS 3 and the new HD remake)
-Territory Wars 3 (Beta is releasing next month!)

I hope to find some new Brawl buddies and to have a wonderful time on the boards!

P.S. I apoligize for any information that I have missed, any questions will be answered promtply as I will probably be training ALL NIGHT!!! WOO HOO!!!

Hello Starvoltie and Illuvial and welcome to SWF, where everything has that new forum smell. Glad to have you both on board. You'll find that there are a lot of things to see and do here, whether you want to talk about Smash Bros., other video games in the Light House, or even random things not pertaining to Smash Bros., like the Pool Room. If you're itching for some wifi battles in Brawl, feel free to hit up the Smashboards Arena, located in the same board as this very Meet and Greet thread; The Smashboards Information Center, as you're almost always guaranteed to find someone willing to play online. If you have any questions, don't be afraid to contact a moderator for assistance. Until then, please enjoy your stay here, and be sure to ignore the occasional troll, and refrain from responding to spam/advertisement threads. Hello, all.

I was briefly involved in the NC smash community awhile back. Now I'm in San Jose, CA, and looking to get back into smashing.

Any other bay area smashers? Or even better, regular smash-related gatherings in the bay area?

Hey people, I'm Phenomiracle. :) I've got this same username a lot of different places.

Anyways, I'm an 18-year-old college freshman, and over the summer I've returned to smashing. It started with playing with my little brother, and then became a regular routine weekly, with me playing for just a few hours wherever I could fit 'em.

Anyways, as for my skills:

I'm nothing compared to the absolute majority people here, that I'm very sure of. Most of you people have been here for quite a while are quite adept at using high-level techniques or combos or are very familiar with character's movesets.

That's not to say I'm terrible, as I'm easily the best Brawl player out of all of my friends/people I play regularly (about...thirteen or fourteen people). I've joined up here because I want to learn and become better at my game. Hopefully you guys can help me out. :D

EDIT: Oh, forgot to mention my main. I'm just another less-than-average Marth user. Don't mind me.

The Smashoards Arena. Just go there and ask if anyone wants to play, you should get a response soon.

Also, here are the Marth character boards where you can look at guides for advanced techniques, and ask fellow Marth players any questions: http://www.smashboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=168

Well, iv posted a couple times, time to introduce myself :)

I go by the name GMaster171, and... well iv never really been as interested in smash as I currently am. I`m in high school, where I have started my own game club, tilting more towards competitive play (and smash specifically), and have gotten around 5 other people already interested in learning the game. Unfortunately, I`m stuck in Nova Scotia where there is almost no smash community to my knowledge, and have been unable to find any in the other forums. Anyway, I sort of decided to create my own smash community starting with my school, and eventually getting regional tournaments when possible.

In game... I`m decent I guess, been playing smash since i was 7, but only really got serious last year. I main Falco in melee and brawl, and main Link in P:M (if anyone here plays this lol). I love talking and helping others and have a quirky personality.

I guess I have some general knowledge I can spread around, as when i get into something, I learn pretty much everything possible about it (I personally believe I have ocd rofl). Though I have hit a sort of road block in smash, where i cant seem to get any better. Iv been playing the same way for the last month or so.

But all in all, excited to be here, willing to help and discuss, and more than willing to learn as much as I can.

Hello, GMaster171, and welcome to SWF, where The Incredible Hulk rampages a WWE event in Tokyo, Japan. Glad to hear you're willing to help others here in the forums when possible. It must be a bummer to have a near dead Smash community in your area, but what you're doing (creating a game club, etc.) is how it all begins, so with enough time and dedication, you can create a bustling competitive community in Nova Scotia. If you'd like, you can go to character-specific boards to learn more about your mains (links provided below) and improve your skills with them. If increasing Smash awareness in your area is your goal, these forums are a good place to start. If you need any further assistance, do not hesitate to ask a moderator or administrator for help. Until then, we hope you enjoy your stay here at SWF. Also, be sure to pay no mind to the occasional troll, and we ask that you do not respond to spam/advertisement threads. Also, please keep your belongings secure, as Smash World Forums are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Hey there first post here I ain't good with english so please excuse any mistakes I make.

I use the name GaryOakBlue in most forums I go since he's basicly the character in the pokemon series I look up to (wat) and its my nickname irl either way :V

on topic:
I play smash competitively with just my cousins and sometimes with friends(bronies) during a con for fun (no money involved) but never a real tournament, I live in the Philippines, apparently most people in my age group focuses on graphics > gameplay so theres not much people that really knows nintendo (seriously sony made wii the f-?)
I'm a high school student who plays both brawl and melee out of all my classmates only one knows the Smash series though hes a casual player but I'm trying to get him play with the tourny rules (3 stocks 8 minutes etc.) with me. When I get any older I'll try to go to different countries to try to join tournaments for the 4th installment of the game (since by the time I get old its probably already released)

usually me and my cousins play 4 player brawl, but when it gets tiring we turn off the items get the 3 stocks and 8 minutes and go on 1v1's

oh yeah my mains,
going by the name Gary in-game (4 letters exact for melee and brawl )
I play a decent Snake and I just learned Lucario in brawl.
In melee I hardly play with anyone(since they're not use to the physics any more) so I just practiced with level 9 bots :/ I main Jigglypuff,Falco and Captain falcon I think you can say I'm decent since I can combo jigglypuff to a rest and captain falcon to a knee.

I can camp well with Snake almost two of the hand grenades are out 24/7
and using DACUS to get a big gap against players, fighting back even with 150% on my Snake, and this is why I added lucario because I like to fight back with high percentage.
I also like watching smash videos and streamsm especially the old melee ones uploaded by tang, just listening to the hype of people shows how the smash community goes.

I've been lurking around the forums and the wikia's for the tips on my main characters and because of that I learned and play very well so I was very tempted to make an account and finally post around the forums.

thats about it.

Hai.

Hey there Gary! Welcome to Smash World Forums! Sounds like you have some pretty good Brawl experience, you can check out the Snake and Lucario boards to increase your knowledge, and chat with other Snake and Lucario mains. Since you have no means of playing other competitive players locally, you can check out the Smashboards Arena to brawl players on Wifi and test your skills. You can usually find someone there to play easily.

Also, here is the Brawl Video Board where you can watch combo videos, tournament videos and more. You can also post some of your own videos.

For Melee, here are the Jigglypuff, Falco, and Captain Falcon boards. You can find some useful info there. :D

Hope you like it here and get to make some friends. Have fun!

Of no importance.
Hello. My name is Shiruzato, and I have just recently joined this forum. As a matter of fact, I have only been registered for a few minutes as of this post. I assume the rules of these forums follow those of a typical forum, but if I ever don't follow the rules, please kindly explain to me where I went wrong and what I can do to prevent it next time.

I apologize in advance if I ever come off as rude, pretentious, pompous, or self-righteous. I simply wish to remain dignified on most forums unless given a reason otherwise in order to be respectful and law-abiding.

If you read my profile, you will know that I am a HUGE fan of Smash, and I am in no way new to the series and am more than familiar with the technical aspects of the game. I have come here both for competent SSB4 speculations (rosters, movesets, items, stages, and familiarizing the misguided with the rules of the game's roster inclusion) and new roleplaying experiences (I like to see the creativity of others :D).

So, now that all is said and done, I have a question; in the profile editor, it asks if you want to display an RPG character name and world, and only ONE of each. Is there only one RPG, or should I only join one RPG at a time?
