It wont be awkward sir there's always folks entering the smash scene around 14-15 especially when the newest games drops but it may be weird at first cause everyone around you will be older than you.
Thanks. I think i might wait untill there is a tourney at an actual venue then (I dont want just to go to some 18-20yr old's house.) in omaha. Well... all i can say now is i cant wait untill there is such a tourney. :3 after all Salem was only 16 when he won apex 2013

lol I am 28 and David is 29. We the only people who host at our houses, though.
Right now there are games in LaVista during the week. That's about it as far as weekly games at a venue.
There will be another tournament in Bellevue in early August, probably.

Folks are also trying to get stuff set up at UNO as well as some place for games at some card shop off of 84th and Giles so that can be an alternative for now. Also going to your first event and such can be difficult when your young and such can be annoying especially trying to convince your folks. I didn't went into my first tourney for gaming till I was 16 back when the original Family Fun Center was still alive and Brawl came out around 2008 and the tourney happened in May thinking I was hot stuff at the game till I got bopped. I didn't go a tourney or meet anyone from the scene till a little over a year later. We have a few younger players around 17-18 that came in our scene a while back though cause of PM and the Smash Documentary.
Also Rob I been having a itch to play brawl weirdly enough I hope you host it at the next Roll Tier and I need to find a day to get a chance to play it in person.

Chris is back in town and planning on having people over to play music til about like 9:~930, so if you have any interest in that, come over, do that, then play smash I guess.
I might also do games on Saturday afternoon, if I do a small tournament, it's gonna be a "Banned stage/Spacies" tournament just for ****s and poops.

As previously reported, I might do games today. With interest.
I might also just sleep all day, I went to bed at like 6 pm yesterday and kinda slept for some of that time, maybe 9 hours, but I'd like to sleep more.

So, I just moved back to Council Bluffs and plan on being in these parts for some time. Omaha is the sh** and I plan on getting involved in the music scene, and would love to get involved in the smash scene too. I have no reliable reference to my skill level, but I suspect that will not matter

Like tyler just said, games are happening in Papillion on tues/weds right now over at Underground Gaming. It really doesn't matter how good you are so long as you don't suck as a human, that's mostly it.

As far as pre-reg is concerned (which doesn't mean squat), here's the rough #'s.
...we've reach over 40 people for PM Singles.
35+ for melee Singles
20+ for 64 Singles
10+ for brawl Singles and PM teams
8+ 64/melee teams
5+ brawl teams
No Pools at this tournament. If we get 4 teams per event it will be round robin. If it's 5+ it's bracket.
Please bring your set up, please be on time for tourney and matches, and please Rock and Roll Tier.

We are gonna run two different tournaments on two weekends instead of a two day event, especially with the release of smash 4.
October 11th will be Roll Tier X4. This will feature $1000 pot bonus for PM and Melee and a free Sm4sh tournament to the first (??) people to sign up. We have already really started to work on this, but more help would be appreciated.
October 18th will be IT HAS BEGUN. This will feature the first open sm4sh tournament in Nebraska and 64/Brawl singles/doubles and DDR. It sounds like we will need more help for that as well, it sounds like Alec, Steph and myself will be running it mostly so far.
There will be a lot more info about both of these tournaments, but I am very excited to be bringing the future of Nebraska smash to you guys without ruining your tournament experience.

With the new ssb coming out I'm excited because brawl really let me down.
I need to get back onto the scene. I need a crew to run with.
Really interested in tournaments and just get together to play and learn.

No problem. UG is half a mile south of Harrison St on 84th in La Vista. The entrance to find Smash Bros (Melee and PM) is on the lower level of the building on the South side. Mostly Magic and Yugioh kids in the front, just walk all the way back into the dungeon for smash. So far games are happening every Tuesday and Wednesday around 6-10.

Okay, so we have Smash Chateau on Friday and another tournament on Saturday both at UG? Cool, I'll be at Chateau for sure. What time do these tournaments start?

Smash Chateau I think like 7 P.M but it's best to show up early and the tourney on Saturday for PM/Melee doubles is around 1:30 and PM/Melee singles is around 4P.M

Went to the underground just to scope it out. Pretty chill spot for gaming. Sucks I had to leave and couldn't join in the fun for the tourney tho.

Even though this is "Omaha", Smash Chateau is moving back to Lincoln with a much larger venue (relative to its normal one) starting next week. It'll be at UNL in Kauffman Academic Residential Center.
