Ownapalooza is a term created by Jared in 2006

Events: Melee Singles, Melee Doubles and One Man Crews

Location:
Fuddruckers, second floor.
1975 Diamond Blvd # E260
Concord, CA 94520

Prices
Singles: $6 ($1 is going to venue)
Doubles: $12 ($6 per person, $1 from each person is going towards venue.)

Prize/Placement Cash
Singles and Doubles Melee Payout:
1st 60%
2nd 30%
3rd 10%

TIMES
11am - Doors Open - begin setting up
11am-12pm - melee doubles sign ups
12:30pm - melee doubles/teams begin
4:00pm - FREE falcon only bracket
6:00pm - melee singles tournament begins
10:00pm - gtfo

Melee Singles and Doubles Rules
The Obvious
-4 stock
-8 minute time limit
-first to 2 wins advances (best out of 3)
-losers/winners semi finals, winners/losers finals and grand finals are best of 5 matches. (3 out of 5)
-Double Elimination
-items off

More Rules:
-Ties broken by A. by whoever has more stock. B. whoever has lower percent. C. if they both are at the same percent same stock then the sudden death is played out.
-STRIKEOUT METHOD FOR FIRST MATCH!
-Set your ONE stage ban AFTER your first match is played.
-Loser counter pick procedure. 1. Loser chooses stage. 2. Winner chooses character. 3. Loser chooses character.
-You can double blind character selection for first match of set. (only if you're a ****sssaayyy)
-Dave’s Stupid Rule (canNOT counter pick a stage you have won on in the same set).
-Wobbling and freeze glitch is banned

venue situation: the top floor of fuddruckers was reserved on the 9th from 3pm-8pm, which is the reason why i reserved the bottom room for this tournament. when i get to the venue with sfat, L and tarheel i'm told by the assistant manager that another organization who DID NOT have a reservation for either room (bottom room or top floor) is currently occupying the bottom room, the room i reserved. i told the assistant manger this is unfair, i made a reservation for this time, i should have that space, and i firmly said that that group should leave. he proposed that i have my tournament on the top floor, then around 2:30pm-3:00pm i move my event's equipment down stairs and continue from then on. i replied saying this is not how reservations work, i reserved the room, that room is my space to run my event. he replied with some winded explanation attempting to justify this blatant fuuck up; he ended by saying that i'll have to be on the top room then move to the bottom room if i wanted to host an event today. so i rebuttal this man and shut him down, and ended this niigga. i told him i will NOT host another tournament here. you have just committed an act of bad business, and your manager - paul, who i'm on really good terms with - will NOT be pleased. i didn't wait for a reply from him and walked off.

actuality: we will have have sign ups and doubles from 11am to 2:30-3:00pm, then move our equipment down stairs and continue from then on. norcal ownapalooza/combo food's are on an indefinite hold.

i encouraged everyone here to not purchase food in order to NOT support the venue and i'm not charging a venue fee either, i'm not paying these guys shiit.
