Yes, the rest of my codes work perfectly. My Codeset includes the File Patch Code as well as a Custom Character Select Screen Code With Alloys. I also have the usual codes such as Tags in Replays, Infinite Replays, Unrestricted Camera, etc. They worked flawlessly until I added those codes above.

Selecting any stage results in a freeze.
Add Disable Custom Stages to your codeset and you'll be good to go. I had your problem also, that fixed it for me

I have a question. I downloaded Phantom Wings' sample files, but I don't know where to put the .rel or the .pac files. Also, if I use the Alternate Stage Loader Data code, do I have to have separate copies of the code for different stages, like Battlefield or FD?

Hmm. I added the Disable Custom Stages Code.

Code:
Disable Custom Stages:
046B841C 48000040
I also added a few more codes, such as Dash Dancing and Pokemon Trainer Infinite Stamina, but upon loading the game through Gecko OS, it freezes. It freezes in the same way as when one goes over the Code Limit. Indeed, I had over 300 lines of codes in my GCT. However, I was under the impression that having a gameconfig Text File in the root of your SD Card allowed your GCT to have over 8000 lines of codes.

Still, I deleted some codes. This time, the game froze at the Strap Loading Screen.

And to whoever asked, yes, it freezes when I select any stage.

Edit: All right, now Brawl refuses to load. I use BrawlTweaker to edit my GCT. I keep changing which codes I have enabled to see if any of them cause the problem. Now, it either freezes at the Gecko OS Screen or at the Strap Loader, even when I have my original GCT that worked perfectly.

A few tips...
1. Use the latest version of CODEMANAGER, gameconfig.txt only works with that
2. Make sure you have Gecko OS 1.9.1, it works best for Brawl hacks
3. When you save it as a gct in codemanager, make sure ALL the codes you want are checked

Ah, I've been using BrawlTweaker because my Text File with my codes does not have all the codes I want (Unrestricted Pause Camera, Allow Replays Longer Than Three Minutes, etc). That might be the problem. I'll try that out right now. Thanks.

Problem: My stage expansion code has stopped working. As far as I can tell I haven't changed anything that might unintentionally affect it. All my other homebrew still works fine.

When I select a stage it just goes quiet and never loads the stage. The weird thing is that I don't think it's fully frozen because the home button on the Wiimote still works. But the stage doesn't load even if I let it sit for like a minute, and I have to restart my Wii. Like I said, all my other codes and SD-loaded replacement files still work. Does anyone have any ideas what might have caused this problem for me?

Did you try making the gct again? Try to put only the stage expansion related codes and see if it still doesn't work O.o

Are the stages in the right spot? private/app/RSBX (E for NTSC-U, P for PAL, J for Japan)/pf/stage/MELEE
Yes. You see, when I posted the very first time in this thread, Brawl loaded fine. It only froze when I selected a stage, which was my initial problem.

Suddenly, however, Brawl freezes at the Strap Loading Screen, and I cannot figure out why.

If you have a custom strap loader, that might be the problem, get a new one to replace your current one

I don't have a Custom Strap Loader. You see, my explanation was merely for the sake of simplicity. The game doesn't actually freeze because of the Strap Loader. The game freezes at a certain time while the game loads. If I leave the game alone, it happens to freeze at the Strap Loader. If I quickly press a button to skip the Strap Loader, it would freeze at the Now Loading Screen.

I don't know whether this is important or not, but it is a silent freeze. No buzzing noise.

Wow, this is pretty sweet. I am totally going to use this. I have a question though (I'm sorry if it's been asked before, I've looked through the topic and couldn't find an answer)
Will this work to replace the character pac/pcs files as well? I have some custom movesets that some of the players love and some of the players hate (Some link players hate Generic Rage, some hate Zero, some like to switch on and off between those two and the original), so that is my biggest priority (even though the stage changing is awesome). If it will work with characters, do I configure it with how it worked in version 1.0 of the Alternate File Loader? Sorry if this question has already been answered.

nevermind, I've figured it out. This is just for stages and the Alternate File Loader code is still required to load characters (or so I assume)

so i have the stage expansion, custom sss, and the random expansion codes. i was wondering if you could have a different icon show up, so i searched for icon. i noticed you guys were talking about IDs 61, 62, etc, but i thought PW said that he had his stages 40-48?

regardless, did you guys ever figure out how to get icons/previews working?

edit:
1- Changing some fields in the code you can choose the icons for these extra stages, you only have to read well pw's explanation and you'll know what to change

2- You can have any stage icon for it as you can change them
saw this post, but could you elaborate? id like to be able to change the custom1 icon from FD to Realm of the Falcon without changing the normal FD icon.

That's the thing that can't be done, you can place ANY of the EXISTING icons, including the menu one I guess (the one used in the my music option), but can't use new ones. So, your option could be using the same for pokemon stadiums 1 and 2 and get one of them to be the falcon destination, or getting the menu one, that isn't used in stage selection ^^U

If you have problems to do this, just tell ;)

So, I stumbled onto this thread long ago (before Phantom Wings came along and made that SSS code thingy). Back then, the code was way over my head, but now I think I can make heads or tails out of this.

So even if I can, I'm having a bit of trouble:
I have 6 replacements for WWR, all named STGONLINETRAINING_[letter here].pac. The code I'm using is:
Custom ASL Data v1.1
46000010 00000000
44000000 005A7D00
66200008 00000000
4F4E4C49 06000000
48000000 00000000
28000001 00000000
08010002 00000000
08020003 00000000
08080004 00000000
08040005 00000000
00000DED FADEDEAD
E0000000 80008000

Is this code not Wiimote+Nunchuck compatible or something? If it helps, I have:
FPC 3.5.1
ASL & ASL Data
the 3 custom SSS codes Phantom posted
WWR replaces Random
1 player/team matches
all the codes needed for a custom CSS that includes ind pkmn, sheik, samus, alloys, & giga

And I AM using in-battle-portraits, info.pac and mu_menumain.pac.

Help for me? :)

@Silent Ocarina: this is straight from your posted code:
"Rumble Falls->Wifi Waiting Room
C298D528 00000003
2C060031 40820008
38C00005 60000000
90DD08C0 00000000
C26DCEE0 00000003
A37A0022 2C1B00XX
40820008 3B600037
60000000 00000000"
If this really is a copy of your exact code, then there is one very obvious mistake in this part...in the 3rd line from the bottom, you have XX instead of 08(which is the hex for rumble falls). X is not a valid hex character obviously and if that actually is in your gct file then I imagine that it would cause an error.

What's the ASCII data for the expansion stages? I can't find it on the list in the OP.

Yeah, I noticed that several days ago and corrected the mistake. However, Brawl still refuses to load. I expect that it has to do with a file that I'm trying to load. Would anyone be willing to test whether my files load correctly on their games? I could quickly upload them to Mediafire, but I'm not a member, so the files would only be there temporarily.

I've noticed custom rel files are glitching up the ASL code.
Maybe a Alternate Module loader to fix this problem?

We should add this:

Code:
STGCUSTOMX.PAC (CUST)
43555354
Having both Dant's and PW's codes on is the best
