So this is my new and improved diddy. I came along way from a couple months ago when i didn't even know how to glidetoss. Here are 2 vids against litez from a recent tournament. Im trying to get as much help and tips as i can before COT4. I at least want to get out of pools lol. I actually got pretty far in this tournament but these were the only matches i played on the setup that was taping. I won once then lost in the winners bracket then won 3 times then lost in the loser's bracket. I also have some other vids that i need to record myself. These vids were already on youtube thanks to my friend Ussi! I am trying to decide if i want to go diddy or zss for the tournament. Diddy was my main since brawl came out but recently i've gotten really good with zss and i even think i may fare against mk better with zss then with diddy which makes no **** sense to me. Even though i won these 2 matches i rarely win against mk(I think i only won against litez cause he don't nado spam or dair camp I lost to xzax mk twice and one time he 2 stocked me) So again any tips or advice is greatly appriacted

you should mix up your approaches, like throw in some grabs or short hop aerials instead of mainly dash attack
nice vids, i liked the spike in the 2nd one, and the dhgr to footstool wouldve been cool

I know. Usually i am a bit more creative with my approach then the standard dash to up tilt. I was just trying to be extra careful against mk and making sure i could land the damage.

Use both the nanners. Usually, you just take out two and just use one. I only watched the first video because Youtube wouldn't load for me so I don't know how you incorporated them in the second video.

EDIT: Just watched the second video. I noticed the same problem. Just work on confusing your opponent a bit, also learning the Single Nanner Lock wouldn't hurt either. It has vastly improved my Meta Knight game.

Overall, it looks like you have a pretty clean Diddy. I noticed that you tend to run up and roll back a lot, which after some time could become somewhat predictable. On a similar note, I would have to agree with Kaptain_Kong and say that you would benefit from varying your approach; though I understand your reasoning behind your approach tactic against MK, playing it safe tends to lead to predictability. Even if its only once in a while, approach with a grab or a SH Fair or something to keep your opponent guessing (Honestly though, I find it difficult myself to deviate from a safe, defensive play style against MK. If you can do it, though, power to you) .

I need to barrel cancel alot more. I got a couple more vids against a pro dk that i will add later today after i come back from this tournament. Hopefully i can get some vids taped from the tournament today too.


Edit-I got the vids from my crew training with AC up. Quality is bad taped it with my laptop camera but it's viewable. This should deftinaley give a better view of the playstyle of my diddy. So again any tips or advice is greatly appreicated. Im going to another tournament today. Hopefully i place well and get some vids.
