Pikmin Order Whistle - How exactly it works! (and applies to recovery)

Just for the sake of completeness and to have all the information in one place, I'd like to inform/remind that animation canceled attacks still send the "used" pikmin to the back of the line. So if your starting that FSmash attack but get hit out of it, don't be surprised when 1 is now number 6. As far as tactical application of this, aerials that are done too close to the ground are canceled, however the pikmin that would have been used is cycled through. For instance with RBBYW if you try to do an FAir right as your landing, you won't see the attack and it wouldn't hit anything if it was in front of you, you land before the hitbox comes out, however you will now have BBYWR. Not necessarily important today, but like i said, just throwing this out there for completeness' sake.

I think you might be posting in the wrong thread since there are threads dedicated to whistle super armor, but basically you recover from the whistle faster than you do an air dodge so you can follow up with a counter-attack. Recovery from the whistle is faster when you're in the air though so whistle armor is not as good an alternative to spot-dodging when you're on the ground.
