Glad to have you back, Fly!

OH **** YEAH VIDS VS BOWSER.

I've been wanting to see how other pits play that match up because my style doesn't work vs him.

fly please do the glide edgehog. you keep missing easy edgehog opportunities.

How is Spam_arrows lame? It works...I do it..lol. If you only attack you get predictable. I like to shoot arrows from time to time just to see how people react to them...I combo enough though. Especially now that I'm more comfortable with Project M physics.

I've watched a few Master WGS vids and I'm just never very impressed. Little to no utilization of arrows to keep the combos going, a rather slow reaction time, and lack of tilts in favor of smashes, which ends many potential combo setups.

Enjoyed Amanitas video, though MUs against Bowser strongly favor Pit. Faster paced, aggressive, and the combos were excellently executed. The combos and damage rack-up is just insane. I haven't had the opportunity to have any matches against Bowser, so quick question, can Pit simply Shield (down special) Bowser's up special to gimp his recovery like he can with Link?

I've been waiting to see Archs new vid and I'm looking forward to how you handle the glide nerf. You relied heavily on it to set up and continue those aerial and off-stage combos. Either you'll play much more safe, play more aggressive and use the single glide (which you ALWAYS saved one for recovery previously) to play like you did before, or get more precise with the aerial sweet and sour spots and arrows to continue the off-stage game.

Overall, looking forward to more videos and seeing what else people can bring out, because I haven't seen anything really new in a long time. Furthermore, looking forward to seeing the Pit board a lot more active.

If timed correctly Pit can Reflect just about anything.

I plan to update with more vids soon.

Also, I am looking forward to the pit boards being active as well...It gets lonely here :(

The stream archive? I watched about 45 mins of it. Mostly of just the first guy you played. The stream cut out about 3 mins after you started fighting the new fella, he played Link his first round. I wanted to watch more, but called it. I'll finish it later. I cant make much of a call, because I only watched you play one guy, which, I don't mean to offend him by any means, but was looking forward to seeing you play more skilled players.

From what little I saw it was very good, but as with every player, needs some fine tuning.
I'll comment more about it when I sit down and watch it.

As for Pit rushing. Yeah. Obviously set yourself up for the opportune moment to strike, and you don't have to be hasty about it, (although it is much more exciting for the viewers if you are) but once you have that combo setup, rush on the ground, rush him/her to the air, rush them offstage, and rush them to death off the side of the map. If you screw up the combo or it simply doesn't work out as planned, take a step back, wait for the right moment, and do it again. Or, ya know, just use 1 arrow for that nice little knock-up up and stop waiting for the opportune moment!

I'm not modest. I can be pretty egocentric, but I legitimately care about Pit, and P:M's development.

Zolom, did you watch my sets vs Stric's Wolf? He's easily the best wolf player currently. I'm interested in your opinion in the goings on as we figured each other out.

@McNinja: I had a pretty big writeup on your pit, but it got lost because **** smashboards. If you have FB/AIM/Skype, I'll give you a bunch of critique in real time, because I just don't have the motivation to type everything out again.

No, Mizuki, I must have skipped that match on accident while trying to get through all the downtime the first time through. So this is the second time this has happened, the stream stopped in the middle of your first match with IE as Link. Not sure if this is just the end of the archived vid or if something is wrong, if its a problem I wouldn't be surprised as I often have stream troubles anyway.

I saw the one match on Yoshi's Island against Stric as Wolf, but only one. It was fun to watch. Both very solid, and the few mistakes made are simply a case of not knowing the opposition in the hands of a good player (weight, fall speed, friction, etc). The only time I cringed, and I've seen you do this a couple times before, was the gliding back to the platform. Yeah you did the whole up and down gliding thing, but as folks play more Pits and get a hang of his gliding speed and maneuvering capabilities, any adequate player will know when and how to send you flying, and unless you have all your jumps, and you DI'd correctly, you wont make it back to the platform again. My only recommendation is glide when you have to, because we only get 1 now, and if you do glide, cancel out of it as you get closer to the stage to better defend yourself rather than gliding up and down hoping they miss their edge-guard. Well, that and play, play, play!

McNinja, I understand if my opinion doesn't matter to you, but if you care to read it and/or any feedback then I'll be happy to watch both vids and toss in my 2 cents. I watched 2 mins of your fight with Ganon to realize I'm exhausted and won't finish it, BUT as for now, I can firmly say nice arrows! Only 2 mins in so I hope it stays consistent, but great aim, great job knowing if your arrows would indeed hit or not, and if and when to capitalize on them.

Zolom I highly recommend you watch my matches vs his wolf around the 4-5 hour mark. Just skip to around that area.

I highly recommend the time stamp 4:51:09 for a series of VERY solid play.

Zolom, I understand you're relatively new to smashboards (and i assume competitive play), but I would love to hear opinions from different skill levels.

Lol well I could tell you've been playing for awhile from your Pit vids. I love your creativity when you play btw. You do a lot of stuff I wouldn't think to do.

I have had different accounts on smash boards since 2006. I can't ever stick with a name and ive played competitively since 06.

Also Mizuki, I don't know about Stric having the best wolf but. There is aguy I play who's wolf is pretty ridiculous.

I'm working on a video that will have a good number of pit clips in it as well as others.

After that I've decided rather than doing a tutorial so soon I'm just going to point out general pit things 1 by 1.

I want to do that as well...something like what I started doing with Marth a year or 2 ago. However, I need more Pit's with more footage first.
