Struggled, possibly the worst,
But through my power I became better her loss hurt.

Probably the most notable Kanto scene
The Koga Ninja's speed is so mean.

Too bad I was prepared and used Charizard's flames
To send Koga to the dojo of shame.

Onward to Cinnabar where Blane lives
To water down his Pokemon with Blastoise is motives.

Then swiftly flying to Viridian.
Giovanni was a pushover, probably due to Mewtwos trouble that begins.

Now I'm at eight
Set straight

To the Pokemon League, and I'll demonstrate

How the power of 6 can show new tricks, and overall

Pocket Monsters, or us'lly Pokemon (in short),
Is a game where animal companions fight (in sport).
Unlike reality, where such actions are crude,
These pets are barely harmed, giving it a lighter mood.

The good fight for fun and not for gruesome bloodlust,
And thus how these games became some of the world's most fussed.
With it's popular, yellow-furred little mascot,
It's entry in the game industry was very hot.

From the storm of the success came toy after toy,
and increased the reasons to buy Nintendo's Game Boy:
With many other games like Kirby or Tetris,
why would you skip a great handheld game system like this?

Unfortunately, it's clear it was not to last,
You see, the fad of it ended years ago (the past).
Back then Pokemon was seen as unorthodox,
Since Game Freak Inc. fit so much in a cartridge game box:

The time took to complete it: near infinity,
No other game had so much replayability!
But after a while the "new factor" wore off,
And other game companies all tried to make ripoffs.

Though the hype faded, people still bought the games new,
So the popularity dropped, but at the same grew!
With sales (still increasing) with numbers that 'maze,
Despite what some people say it still has a strong base.

To all his own, from long-term to completely new.
Those that see all half-thousand, or feel the last is Mew.
If thee want to place each kind in a pokeball,
Then you probably know that you've gotta catch 'em all.
