Possible 949 area tournament, need to know who can come

Basically I found a nice venue right by my house and was wondering how many people could come. It is fairly big and has some other stuff too. If you don't want to smash for some reason it has a tennis court, a pool which may or may not be working, a volleyball court, some workout equipment and a kitchen(lol). Basically there will be free food and drinks, I'll have my recording equipment and will be able to record any matches you guys want (like finals and grand finals) and if there is enough people interested then we can have crews or an SSB64 side tourney (it is on my Wii though so you would have to use a GC controller). Only downside is it's a little farther from Irvine that what you guys are used to.

IMPORTANT:Might run a brawl side tourney if enough people want one. If you want a Brawl side tourney than you MUST explicitly state so!

At the moment I just want to know who can come.

Also here is a draft of the rules. Please tel me if I should change anything and which date you guys can come.

Bring a setup and you don't have to pay venue.
Food, drinks and snacks will be provided FREE.
I'll have my recording equipment so just ask if you want any of your matches recorded.

Warmups/setting up: 11:00AM
Doubles start: 12:30PM
Singles start: 3:00PM
Friendlies/other games: When singles is close to ending ~ 10:00PM

-1st 60% pot
-2nd 30% pot
-3rd 10% pot

Teams:
-1st 60% pot
-2nd 30% pot
-3rd 10% pot

-VENUE RULES-
*None at the moment other than don't flake lol


- GENERAL RULES -

* Items are set to off
* The stock is set to 4
* 8:00 Timer
* All sets are best of 3 matches
* With the exception of Winner/Loser/Grand Finals - best of 5 matches
* In the event of a dispute, controller ports will be selected by Rock-Paper-Scissors
* No player may choose the stage they last won on
* Ties will be broken by lives, then percentage. In the event of a percentage tie, one stock sudden death will be played
* The Ice Climber Freeze Glitch is banned even though it's funny.
* Jigglypuff's rising pound stall is banned
* Peach's bomber stall beneath levels where she is unreachable is banned.
* Wobbling is banned.

me going is contingent on a ride from anybody close to/at uci

cuz i don't feel like spending longer than two hours on a bus going there and on the return trip :(

I'll pay gas money and be very thankful, etc. if anyone is willing to :)

I just copied the stage list from JDM's tourney, I'll just go ahead and take mushroom kingdom II off because I've never actually seen it played on.

Also, I need more TVs, so people please bring more.

I love how this topic morphed into a totally huge tournament in the course of one day.

4 tvs should be enough for the tournament, but we could always use more obviously!

...also stab, why am I a cohost when I don't even have a guaranteed ride to this :laugh:

but JDM still remains the ultimate host
