Riivolution should be the ultimatum should you want to use custom SFX as well, since the current File Replacement Code does not support custom SFX.

I can see it happening. Especially considering the whole "lol we're making DotA 2 now, surprise," they can make pretty much anything and it'll sell.

Edit: In case anyone doesn't know, Valve is the owner of the Source engine (L4D, TF2) and making a game engine for a smash ripoff wouldn't be a problem for them.

i say u get gecko because u dont have to deal with that xml and code handler stuff with riivolution.

I'd just do hackless brawl if you haven't hacked your wii yet, but if you don't want that then I'd go with Gecko OS. It's what I use and I have never had any problems with it.

It's not much of a problem, bro. I only use Riivolution if I wanna change the sound effects (not music) or if I have a 4GB card (in which I don't anymore). So use Gecko, it's faster.
