On the SBR tier list marth and fox are tied for top but in PAL I reckon Marth is by himself. Because of

Fox's nerfs

- recovery
- usmash
- uair

Sheik's ( marth's only counter) nerfs

- Uair
- Dthrow

Also Marths only nerf was his spike and the angle that his fair sent people which don't affect him to much.

He also got a buff, fox's shine sends him to the ground

They have about the same matchup against Sheik
