Questions about the Dorf

I have 2 questions to ask starting off my SWF exsprience, 1. i was looking through brawl box and looked at ganons wiz foot spike and was wondering why the hit box ends at his knee while the hurtbox is his whole leg? 2. does ganon have his melee grab range or was it left at brawls range cause of his chain grabbing ability?

1. many moves (including wizkick) that move relatively fast usually have negative disjoint like you described.
2. he has melee grab range

ahh this may seem a dumb question but why is this not a issue for say falco whos spike is quick and long lasting? also i couldnt find where to put an avatar:/
