More Japanese ROBs at Hyper Sumabato!

Ginko vs Ruri (Rosalina)

Sopmo vs M2_KENTO (Mewtwo)

I highly recommend watching the first video. Ginko is the most technical ROB I've seen and incorporates a lot of undeveloped and underused tech into his gameplay such as z-dropped aerials and b-reverse gyro cancels. I think it provides a good reference of the situations these techniques can be applied, and how it looks to effectively incorporate these techniques into your gameplay. I've heard Ginko is planning to focus more on ROB (he also played Pac Man and Mewtwo this tournament), and I hope to see more videos from him.

I cam here to link the video of Ginko. His R.O.B. is really good, and apparently he is a player who plays online and this was his first tournament. Does anyone know if there are more videos of him?

This one is amazing. I did not even know that the shot Gyro always knocks the opponent in the way that you are facing. I knew that a thrown or dropped Gyro did that, but it is cool that a shot Gyro also does that. I am going to try this in FG 1v1!
Wanna practice combos? Go on FG ;). Thx man. I like to be hype no matter who I use. I do footstool setup with sonic, IMO the most annoying character in the game. I try to push the limits for setups so thx for your thoughts :)

I do this one a lot and I love this combo! But aside from ledge drops It also does not cover them doing nothing. If they see it coming they can just stall the Gyro out.
Then I guess you could wait before up smashing. Yeah thats true tho. I love the satisfaction too!

If they do nothing and just wait on the ledge, couldn't you catch them with ROB's dsmash on the ledge? Assuming invincibility runs out before the gyro disappears. You could probably run off and ledge trump them, then either bair (might be too slow tho) or drop off and jump back on stage to punish their regrab or landing attempt.

That works on alot of ppl since they dont expect it. I love that feeling. Also if they drop, most characters basically get hit by a dair or some other good punish. But a good player that understands rob would wait and roll or drop down to avoid it then punish that endlag. In the end, it works against most players in most situations.

Actually it is the Gyro that makes this set up time out so quickly.

But I love Gyro combo's, I do a lot of Gyro > Nair offstage too. It might be suboptimal, maybe I should go for Gyro > Dair spikes more often, but it does rack nice damage and is often very easy to do. Other than that I might have done Gyro > Dair spike I think and Gyro > Dsmash, and probably also Gyro > Fsmash and some other Gyro > something. I even got a Gyro stagespike which is really fun especially since I turned around on purpose for that stage spike. The Gyro is probably one of the most fun moves in the game.

Definetly. I zdrop alot for my setups too. The gyro truly is highly entertaining.

Me playing against a Wario just over a month ago. My ROB was only 1 month old then, there are some obvious things I did wrong that I've tried to improve upon (so much dumb staling of uthrow/suboptimal throws in general, no dtilts, unsafe projectiles costing me game 1... twice) but tips or critiques would be nice.

Here are my videos from my tournament win a couple weeks ago check em out and lemme know what you guys think. Mostly used R.O.B. but there are a couple games of my sheik play and one set against a zss I went straight sheik for obvious reasons. You guys can check out the zss match on the playlist if you want but I won't list it here since this is the R.O.B. boards. Winners finals they told us was Semi's and we played it best of 3 not best of 5 like we should have so a little heads up on that. Hope you guys take the time to check em out.

Some matches that I played on stream today at a local weeklies. The Yoshi is a top player from St. Louis. I don't really understand the Yoshi matchup that well. The egg throw seems to give me the most trouble. It just goes over all of my projectiles. I often resort to spamming nairs when I panic. Any critiques welcome.

Holy's sets from SmashLoft's Smash 4 Weekly #50 were uploaded on YouTube. He took 3rd under Venom's Ryu and SuperGirlKels's Sonic; bracket: http://smashloft.challonge.com/sm4shmtl50. What is he doing well, what should he be doing, what is ROB even doing!? I don't know; I don't play ROB. So, watch, enjoy, and critique.
