Hey there,
My name is Ben, and I have been playing Melee for six months now, basically. Before this point I was playing it once every month at a random dorm room, or a friends house, and sucking. Eventually, however, during this suckiness, I made the odd decision of playing Game and Watch. "This guy is weird, everyone looks right over him, I don't understand anything about this dude, I think i'm gonna main him". That's basically how it went down. So now I just watch the Qerb vods, the Bombsoldier vods, read around the forums, and practice against all my DOUCHEBAG marth/falco/fox/sheik maining friends =D. But now it isn't an ignorant practice of G&W, I have grown to love the mofo. I think it was when all my friends started acting like total Johns as I started winning, hitting fat 0%-death combos, as I learned how to fair/dair engage, and nair execute (they f***ing hate the nair).
I recently was in a car accident and had a stage 4 laceration of my spleen and impacted lungs, which put me on a course to be out of classes, back home, and with a lot of free time to just play around with Dr. Mario, and G&W, and start "training". i picked up the Doc because Shroomed makes him looking so fricking sick. Literally watched a Shroomed Doc Mario video and was like "K, lets go Doc" bout three months ago. Nothing more than that.
What does TUBAN mean? A few years ago my friend Mike randomly made the acronym, which stands for "The Ultimate Boss A** N***a". I stole it.
I enjoy Project M with G&W's strength a bunch, but I still consider myself maining the melee G&W. I feel like I am cheating every time I UpB into a dair. I feel like Melee G&W is just looking at me, shaking his head, calling me a *****.
Ready to learn. Here I am. Nice to meet y'all!
