All other stages are banned for tournaments.

Other Rules
Stalling - Stalling is not allowed. Stalling a match includes any method the player might use to prolong a match by placing their character in a position wherein an opponent cannot reach them. Peach's Across B for example, can be used to stall underneath stages like Battlefield. Running away would not be considered stalling however, as your ability to evade the opponent is only as good as the opponent's method of catching you.

Metaknight’s Infinite Dimensional Cape - A technique that renders a character invisible and invincible indefinitely is banned. If a player is reported to be abusing this, they will be disqualified from their round and penalised.

Ice Climbers Chain Throw - Is legal, however, extending a chain-throw past 300% will be considered stalling.

The Dedede Rule
(D) signifies the stage is not selectable if someone is using Dedede, unless both players agree.
Originally proposed by CATS and Shaz this rule is designed to prevent people abusing King DeDeDe's d-throw chainthrow.
Dedede may not choose to play on stages that have a 'D' next to them.
Dedede's opponent may choose to play on one of these stages if they wish. If a random stage is chosen and it comes up with a 'D' stage you and you are against Dedede you may quit and restart within 5 seconds.

Hey man, if you want some prize money, maybe you should get really good at Halo 3.

I mean, there's 500 right there if you're on the winning side. Prize money is pretty good for Halo 3.

And there's also Counter Strike, that seems like a pretty popular game, whatever kinda game it is.

Note that I already took away the 2000 you get from winning and split it into four.

Pretty big pie if you ask me.

Earl, Tibs said he'll probably attend. And if he attends Caotic should attend, and if Cao attends the rest of Melbourne should. Though I'm pretty sure I'm just being optimistic at this stage.

People that should attend imo:
Tibs
Caotic
Shaya
tedeth
Luke
Corpse
DJBrowny
Amaterasu

These people attending will get other people to attend and such. ^_^

lol goldeneye tourny looks interesting. RCP 90's ftw.
Is there an ffa halo comp like last time jamie? I had a lot of fun getting owned by all the pro's last time.
For brawl 2v2. I want my team to be called, El Diablo and the Magic Man.

Everyone who's going i'd advise u to enter the mariokart tourny if u have had experience on double dash or mkwii. Last time i came second and i've never played mkwii, but i had played a lot of double dash like 1-2 years be4 lol.

I've always thought it was the other way round. I guess i thought it was el diablo and the magic man as that just sounds better, it rolls of the tongue better.

Also Jamie it says Halo 3 is BYO comp. So should i bring my own 360? Or are they gonna have like 100 360's like last time?

Reloaded is pleased to announce that, thanks to the guys at the Sydney Gamers League, we'll be putting on our best network yet, with gigabit capacity extended to many parts of the event for the first time in Reloaded history.
Reloaded would like to thank the SGL guys and our Network admin for making this possible.

SGL was founded in Sydney in 2001, and stages events for up to 500 people at Maquarie University. Events are held up to twice a month, with new events scheduled for early 2010.

if you are in Sydney or close by and looking for a LAN event to go to, we recommend SGL as a community minded organisation and a bunch of top blokes. For more information, please visit http://www.sgl.org.au
Awesome news but it doesnt really matter for people only going for smash :p

Halo 3 IS byo console and I tink there is no FFA this year only 4v4 and the teams are way too good so my only chance would be in the FFA (1 kill off finals last year).

Um Streetgeek runs a fully gigabit network for over 100 pc's, Saga was gigabit and even the Xbox's at SG are hooked up to gigabit :psycho:

Its definatly possible and its awesome!

I have done a little research on some flight information for some interstate people. Keep in mind that the Brawl events are happening on the Sunday and are expected to start at around 10:00am. THERE ARE NO BRAWL TOURNEYS ON THE SATURDAY. All the costs and flight times are correct as of the 27th of December 2009. Don't whine at me when they change in the future as I am not going to edit this post with updated flight costs and information because I'm lazy. I'm also not listing return flights for a variety of reasons. Due to the small size of Adelaide's Smash Scene, housing is unfortunately going to be a major issue. If I don't have a listing for your area in red (Sunday) it means you will not arrive in time for the event or there will be no flights so you will have to arrive a day (or a few depending on how you can get accommodation) beforehand.

Edit: According to swordsaint, Jetstar have special deals on Fridays between the times of 4pm and 9pm, which could ultimately lead to cheaper flights; this is something to keep in mind.
