COST:
$2.50 - Venue Entry Fee
$10 - Tournament Entry Fee
$7 - Tournament Entry Fee (bring Wii + Brawl/Melee setup)
The tournament entry fee covers the venue fee, so the most you will have to pay for entry is $10 at a tournament, or $2.50 at a meet with no tournament.
The Tournament Entry Fee (minus the venue fee) goes towards the prize pot, which will usually be distributed between 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for Brawl singles and 1st place for Brawl doubles.

- Time Limit: 9 Minutes
- Items: Off and NONE.
- Double Elimination Bracket
- Bracket Sets: Best of 3

- Disqualification Clause: After a match has been called; if a player is 2 minutes late he will receive a warning. At 4 minutes late, he will be given a loss for the first game of the set. After 6 minutes, he will be given a loss of the entire set.
Other Rules:
- If time runs out, the winner is determined by stock, then percentage.
- If both stock and percentage are identical, or a game ends with both players being KO'd simultaneously, then a re-match is played.
- Extending Meta Knight's Dimensional Cape is banned.
- Ledge-Grab Limit: If time runs out and a player has grabbed the ledge over 50 times during the match (30 if the player is using Meta Knight), he is given an automatic game loss regardless of stocks and percentage.
Set Format:
- Both players choose their characters (as well as their sub-character and costume) for the first game. A double-blind pick may be requested by either player.
- Players strike stages from the Starter Stage List in a 1-1-2-2-2-1 order (assuming "1" is player 1 and "2" is player 2).
- Each player may ban a stage for the set.
- The first game is played using the stage chosen by Step 2.
- The loser of the previous game chooses a stage from the Starter or Counterpick Stage List. Neither player may select the stage that was banned in Step 3, or a stage that they have won on previously in the set without their opponent's permission.
- The winner of the previous game chooses their character.
- The loser of the previous game chooses their character.
- Steps 5-7 are repeated as necessary.
