As I play more and more online I'm exposed to more Samuses. These guys generally use the same style, lots of bombs, bairs and dairs. I have been having a LOT of trouble fighting these people and I'm beginning to think that Samus is a LOT better than people give her credit for.

I play as Mario and I have trouble combo-ing Samus more than anyone else. She is extra-floaty and recovers from hitstun fairly quickly. I also have a good deal of trouble edgeguarding her.

Most Samuses I play are very defensive, in fact, one could accuse most of them of camping. Is there a good strategy against this? Does anyone else have the same problems?

finally something you said that i can actually have a discussion about.

I had the same problem for a while but for some reason i find fox, good for samus.

once i started using fox to fight people with good "samus' " (weird eh) i found samus isn't really hard to beat if, when you get close, us combos that will keep you close. *(ex. Falcons Fairs, Fox's B&Fair, Pikas Uairs) almost every char has some means of keeping her close with combos and once that happens you just need to learn to apply pressure at the right times, so that you can get these combos.

Yeah, Samus is basically camping and playing defensive if you wanna do well.
Use fast characters if you wanna beat her... Probably Pikachu and Fox are the best to do it.

But If you play against a defensive/camping player, picking a fast character is the best choice. Its hard to defend and camp against them.

hmmm, predict her moves, and predict her ways to kill.

Samus can't kill in many ways so look out for down air
Hmm, for falcon i like f-air vs samus
for yoshi, back air and n-air
with mario, fireball if he camps......or use down air Lol
