? How are games on Yoshi's Island: Brawl not focused on fighting?

you're weird.

:054:
Lol, yeah YI is decent too

But seriously, CP's should be eliminated altogether. On other stages you have to fight and worry about hazards. On FD, YI, BF and Smashville you just fight without distraction.

Heck, even PS1 can be thrown into the mix.

Dude, are you kidding? I've had Shyguys shield my opponent from projectiles that would have killed him so many times it isn't even funny.

...I'm kidding...

...but that has happened to me... a lot.
 well, sorry to say, you deserved it. (I'm saying this just for everyone) You know that shyguys appear, where they appear, and you have a rough guess of how frequently. So instead of thinking about the game in terms of 100% guaranteed stuff, you have to take the probability of many events in all your decision-making. This is not bad; it adds diversity to the game.

Is your issue hazards, or is your issue randomness? Brawl came with a ton of stages, not just three. What's the justification for arbitrarily deciding that hazards are bad, when they're an inherent part of the game? Characters are balanced around the idea that hazards exist, and some chars deal better with the hazards than others.

For example, there is absolutely nothing random about Jungle Japes. If you forget about the klaptrap, it's your own fault. It's a hazard, and characters with flexible recoveries are better at avoiding it than others. Why should these characters be penalized because you don't like klaptraps? That's not a reason at all. Learn to use the hazards to your advantage; they're a part of the way you fight in Brawl.

I have lost a game because a Shyguy extended a fully charged shieldbreakers hitbox through my spotdodge.

Eh, I lost the set.. and he proceeded to smack talk >_>

Oh well, its a fair level =D

Man, I'm thinking about where my opponent is, and when the time is right, I'm tossing that sphere, dammit!

For the record, I'm not complaining, I'm totally cool with it, haha.

There's always something else that needs to be ironed out, but we're almost done. It shouldn't be too much longer.

Is there a place I can find a recommended ruleset for crew battles? I might host a crews side tournament, and I can't find a ruleset that says what to do about timeouts, ZSS and the suit parts, the pokemon trainer's switching, etc.

We are releasing another ruleset today, so I am going to close this for now.
