Setting Wolf Goals for 2011

My goals:

-Increase my overall tech skill with Wolf.
-Make it out of pools at a tournament.
-Take down some big names in my own state(Ohio). Gotta do that before I can even dream of beating great OoS players.
-Take 2 stocks from M2K.
-Win an Ohio tournament.

You've essentially completed goals 2 and 3 by making this post alone.

But yeah, lets try to have some serious goals to push Wolf up the list.

-Master wolfs techs, Bdacus and stuff Jcav does
-Beat Yei on a wolf vs MK set (Yes we have our own M2K here)
-Get top 3 at an mixed countries tourney
-Play faster overall
-Read better, perform better mindgames
-Step up marth to counter those annoying Falcos, Pikachus, Warios and King dededes

As for my goals...

1) Stop sucking. As in, become a smarter player, master techs that I really should learn, become more precise, etc.
2) Get my trip to CA set up so I can hang out with JJ and Choice ;D
3) Become more active in the NJ scene, hopefully start placing better.

Wolf would be cool with a gatling combo.

If Fox did then I think Fox would be broken.

With a giant mushroom wolf and fox can both do gatling combo.

Also dash attack isnt useless.

Dash attack is broken vs DDD. Just do a dash attack vs shield and do the Dsmash when he tries to shieldgrab which somehow whiffs haha. Remember? lol

My goals.. become more active on Smashboards, have more contact to the Wolves... and become #1 in Germany.

And to make T's 6. goal not happen =P

dash attack is good against characters in the air

if theres anything ive learned from playing against de..k.a.r (screw namesearch) its to

1) learn to use every move wolf has,
2) practice recovery more than anything else,
3) learn to NEVER mess up when doing anything OoS, and
4) know how to get out of pseudocombos

also i guess platform cancelling just for the lulz

I'm almost sad to say its my d3 who brings in the moneyz

BUT

there might be one recent match of me uploaded due to my opponents request cuz i was playing kinda sexy (admittedly, lightstep jump > laser/bayonet hit to charged dacus tech chase for the kill was pretty cool)

instantly jumping after lightstep is good btw. prevents you from grabbing the ledge where you'll only be ledgeguarded all day. AND its sexy. (and atm no1'd expect it)

i see alot of people vouching for Dash attack

even when i dash attack shields i hope they whiff the shieldgrab cuz it happens
but my opponents are so knowledgeable(read: slow reaction time, but who cares theres like a full second window to grab him) they grab me anyway

Dash attack definitely does have limited utility, but it can be used.

1. Play more and learn how to play Wolf better.
2. Play in a tournament that is not local. I really would like to see how I stack up against those in the state. I talk to a few Michigan players and they said they are willing to help me if I go to a tourney because it is tough to face good players in my area when there isn't any >_>
3. Play online more with my wii. I just got my Wii so I would really like to play on the wii as much as possible.
4. Practice my Falco game too because he is my secondary so I really would like to play Falco more as well.
5. Needs more Ganon
6. Post a replay in the replay thread.

cool combo you prolly already know. But it's big.

So...

Short Hop-down throw a banana-nair (this works like all the time, any character I'm pretty confident in. I tested on WeeGee at 999% and it worked so I'd say it works on any other character,)

Now it's what you can do after this that I don't know yet, JJ prolly does since he knows all the diddy tricks.

I know you can dash attack after and likely follow up with Up tilt. >30%

after the nair training mode tells me that f-smash is a true combo. I know the counter can be wrong and I'm sure they can DI it >27%

Up-Smash> 30%

EDIT

after a short test, as their percent goes up, the first hit of nair knocks them back too far to really do anything, however, it will still work if you get the second hit of nair. Problem with that is, and correct me if I'm wrong, but that hit allows the opponent to stand up and shield I believe.

and again this is really only good for diddy

if you 1st hit nair as you land on someone, it does combo into fsmash and boost smash at certain percents. i never did it in conjunctino with bananas though caz i rarely short hop while holding a banana

Strong hit late Nair combos are sooo old. And that Nana stuff doesn't make this something new at all. But yeah it's something that combos into dash attack, so T will like it.
