I knew I was going to end up playing Sonic again. There's just no escaping it. It's Sonic.

But I'm going to have so many secondaries to the point that the word secondary will lose meaning.

Also, did anyone get their hands on the US demo early? This version has unlimited uses :3

Trent and I have been versing each other for ****s and giggles.

People need to chill over codes. srs. I didn't get one, I'm happy with my game purchases recently and I'm cracking through them. I've bought and completed lost world wii u, pretty fun, some levels seemed a bit thrown together though, but sonic games are getting legit again. Sonic Boom seems a bit...06y.
Playing through fire emblem (the eshop one with lyn/eliwood) though i'm like 4 chapters from the end now so i need to find the one i have on wii whatever its called. And silent hill homecoming.
Easy steak main i think though. His custom specials look a bit uninspired, but i only glanced at them, cos i find steak 4 boards a bit derpy. I want a pokemon and FE secondary though, it's maybe time to move on from jiggz but i hate greninja. Everyone looks fun though, cept DK. DK is never fun.

How do i most newerer pokemon sprites? I saw someone post a drifloon one yesterday and I be like

I'm always gonna see this as Sonic home lmao. Smash 4 Demo is pretty fun I got used to the controls rather quickly, obviously gonna stick with Sonic when I pick up Smash 4 but I kinda dig how villager plays

Rest is legit now, back to meleeish levels? I hope falcon has returned from melee too, and not Captain Failcrap from brawl. Jiggz for god tier.

From what I've seen, Falcon's knee has returned to its former glory, but to balance it out they gave it more landing lag. And yeah, Rest is the real deal again.

I've been having a lot of fun with the demo and it just makes me even more anxious to play the whole game, experiment with the cast, and actually contribute in discussions.

This place will always be the true Sonic boards though...

Smash 4 is gonna be my main game lol, I've been playing lots of Ultra and Project M over here now that I'm on campus. The project M scene at UConn is kinda cool, I only know one kid who's solid but he's great practice I'm pumped to play smash 4 with him. Also Sonic's spins look wonky as eff I'm curious as to how that stuff is gonna work

shoutouts to that new dash attack

So jab locking seems to have a more strict timing now

I thought you could only jab-lock three times. Not sure how exactly that sorta rule would work / be enforced though.

Demo is out hype! But I'm stuck at work for now...

I actually haven't tried to see how many times I could do it because every time I have versed people in the demo I just basically treated it like a jab reset and charged a smash attack and it felt awesome.

That's gotta make you wonder why they intentionally kept in jab lock but capped it off at 3. It had to be a choice… Otherwise what's to prevent you from doing it indefinitely like in Brawl?

Well, it makes sense to be able to flop onto the ground if you miss a tech.

And it makes sense to be able to hit people when they've flopped on the ground. It looks nice, that a weak attack just kinda nudges them without pushing them back upright. But that means jab-locks can happen.

I agree with Sakurai's choice on this one. *shrug* Maybe we could have given the flopped-fish more options (e.g. roll when tapped), but that's even more things to worry about. Imagine an infinite where you just go around poking someone but have enough time to re-poke them any which way they flop around. lol

Capping it at 3 isnt really bad, you still get some type of guaranteed follow up...which is the important part =o

Can our new nair still jab lock out of spindash? Its so strong now, I'm doubting it.

Jab Jab Fsmash is plenty for me. Wait. 3 jabs and a followup or 3 ground hits?
I can't remember. I'll report back if I test in the demo later.

I've never actually used nair for a jab-lock. Sounds highly situational… Especially since it would require its weakest hit, yeah?

Camalange... wut?

YOU HAD SIX YEARS TO DO IT. DID YOU NEVER PLAY AGAINST ROB?! :applejack:
whoa

I played like, exclusively ROBs in PA. I was just really good with jab or the guaranteed ROB-specific jab-lock set-up. Never used nair for it.
