Shrek for Smash Ultimate

Picture this, there is a Nintendo Direct and at the very end there a dlc character gets revealed. The trailer starts out in a castle (Lord Farquads castle) and all the Smash characters are there but something is following them. All Star by Smash Mouth starts playing in the background and Shrek pops and says, well look what we have here, and big text appears and says Shrek, takes ogre the battlefield. Fiona will also be released as an echo fighter with slightly better recovery but worse projectiles.

He's not a video game character so there's no chance of that happening.


Though I would rather have him over most characters from Japanese animation.

Ug. Can this meme just die already? I mean, it's totally fine for people to unironically like Shrek; Its a good movie. But I'm getting real tired of people bringing him up as if his very name is the punch line.

Regarding Character Support threads:
1. Character threads must be for characters who originated from a video game.

• 3rd parties can have franchise threads, but it's still recommended to have a focus or examples of who you think would be interesting.
• Nintendo-owned characters don't necessarily have to originate in a video game, but must still have a video game appearance.
• All character threads are subject to staff approval
• 3rd party characters must also be from a game franchise first
