Pretty sure hitstun and floatiness is the biggest difference, not the fact that you can't cancel laggy attacks or space yourself with wavedashes.

edit - oh yeah the way the shield works is pretty huge too

The major difference that makes Brawl suck is no hit stun and no shield stun (and i guess "floatiness" too, seeing as how the game is slowed because of it).

But essentially, little to no hit stun or shield stun means spacing bears very little importance and approaching/grabbing is easy to accomplish. Not to mention, execution wise, this game is EASY.

At this point, you can see how much of a difference there is between Melee (or other fighting games) and Brawl.

It's a genuine joke. The only "fighting" game I've come across where spacing bears little importance and that there is no hit stun/guard stun.

I don't see much future for Brawl.
