While bored and grabbing lunch today, I believe I stumbled upon the source of Ness' awesomeness. This is a theory, of course, so any other theories or extrapolation would be appreciated. But, in any case, here is the theory:
Of all the smash characters, Ness is the only one whose father based his allowance upon the number of enemies that were slain by the child. I mean, dag yo, that's cold. "No ice cream until your legendary bat has defeated 23 monsters!" That's a harsh life, and it bred top tier power. Agreed?
