Very important Rules to know about this tournament!!
1. The First Match of the set your character will be Random.
2. Teams will be determined by drawing a name out of a Hat.
3. You have to Pre-register at the site. link

Set format (In Order of Procedure):
1. Opponents choose random character for the first match
2. Opponents start the stage striking procedure
3. Each player may announce one stage to be banned for counterpicks of the set
4. The first game is played, using the stage chosen during step 2
5. The loser of the previous match announces the next match's stage
6. The winner of the previous match chooses their character
7. The loser of the previous match chooses their character
8. Repeat steps 5-7 for all proceeding matches
General Rules
Venue is open from 11am - 6pm.
We must be out by then so do not take forever to play your match.
Characters will always be randomly selected during the first round
* 3 Stock, 8 minutes
* Items are set to "off" and "none"
* All finals will be best of 5 (five)*. All other sets are best of three (3) matches
* In the event of a dispute, controller ports will be selected by R-P-S
* No player may choose a stage they have already won unless agreed on.
* If the timer runs out, the victor is determined first by stock and then %
-If a game ends with Bowser doing his suicide klaw and it ends in sudden death, the sudden death will be ignored and that game will count as a win for Bowser.
* Any action that can prevent the game from continuing (i.e., freezing, disappearing characters, game reset, etc.) will result in a forfeit of that match for the player that initiated the action. You are responsible for knowing your own character, and must be wary about accidentally triggering one of these effects.
* The Mages DQ Rule is applicable when a player is late for a match and it goes as follows:
o 1.5 Minutes Late – Warning
o Minutes Late – Loss of first match of set
o 5 Minutes Late – Loss of set
* Banned Techs
o MetaKnights cape glitch.
Infinite release grabs
o Infinite wall grabs.
o Stalling** is banned
* There will be attendence list on site.
* Pay out is 60/30/10 For singles and doubles
* Double Elimination bracket play.
* Seeding will be done by skill level.
Life stealing is legal.
* In team matches, the ports will be determined in a 1221 fashion; whoever wins the RPS will choose first, then the opposing team will get their ports, and then the teammate of the RPS winner will get the last port.

Who is Southeast Smash?
Southeast Smash is a Super Smash Brothers Brawl Team reigning from Chesapeake, VA that was formed about 6 months ago by some SoVA guys who wanted to take the game competitively (USPY, Flash, STUAR, Kron, Jet, YS, AV8, Stein, PHAM, CRL, and Hans). After hosting 5 tournaments, they realized they weren't alone in the SoVA tournament scene, and, as of now, they're taking things day by day as a team. Although they aren't as good as some of the better players, they love hosting events for the atmosphere and hopes to improve play. Keep an eye out for SeS in the future and make sure to attend their events - there are sure to be a lot of them.
My experience with South east smash.
Visited the South East Smash crew at their last tournament which was a huge success in my book. Plenty of setups at a great venue which was offer drinks and food with no venue fee what so ever. The SeS crew are dedicated smashers who provide a friendly fun atmosphere with great hospitality. They are 1 of the best tourney hosting crews in the SoVa Smash community and are professional at all times. This tourney will be great and one to remember so come out and hang with the SeS Crew and SoVa Smashers!
