And concerning what my friend uses to record matches. He uses a device called a Canopus which you can find here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814144217 It makes it look pretty. We've tried to get a room mic so that we can record our dialog and add it to the recorded matches later, but that takes more work. He works at a post production house as their lead assistant editor in LA, so he knows what he's doing with video. It does firewire 400 output, then you save the video in real time on the computer. No lag.

Welcome to Springfield, Missouri, the 3rd largest city in Missouri! We have around 10-15 smashers in our area who attend our monthly smashfests, along with traveling players. Our crew really came alive in January 2011 with the addition of Zivilyn Bane and Zantetsu's Seymour group. Since then, we have gathered nearly every week for training, hosted a tournament (part of the Pathways series) every month, and organized one of the biggest Melee tournaments of 2011 (MIST) which featured roughly 70 people. We're a very serious Melee crew and we plan to take the mid-west by storm.

I put the video links at the top because it's significantly shorter than our list of players, and I removed most of the centering because it's hard to follow. I'm nearly 100% sure we can't do it at Metagames. We have tried Saturdays before, remember guys? They have Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic, and other tournaments there every week and it's very unlikely that they'll let us have one, especially of this size, when people are playing games that aren't as hype but rather concentration.

I wouldn't even bother asking and just say do the church anyway. If we have a room that's good enough. No need to try other places.

EDIT: Wretched, just so you know: It may be "cool" to sit there and make fun of people and put them down for lolz in highschool. But I wont put up with that **** in our crew. The next time you constantly **** with Nathan, you can find a different ride home. We are playing at Metagames to generate interest in more people, not to lose even more crew members. I am making sure that we won't be able to use the gym, but I'm under the impression that the youth will be using both rooms throughout the day/night. We will be able to bring the small TVs from the basement, and there are some additional TVs in the gym side-rooms that we'll be able to use, plus two projectors if we want them (I would guess not). He said that the room we would use is around the size of the area of the basement with the wood floor.
