Falco got really lucky in this match. He was about to be the first one to die, but he managed to save himself. He later ended up getting first place.

Dr. Mario could have done better, but he died at the part when the ship was sinking. He was jumping to the next ledge, but stupidly just jumped back onto the sinking ship.

2500 on Link in the white. This is just a guess, but I think those items have a special property that seperates them from others. The ray gun has ammo, mr. saturn breaks shields, bob-ombs walk on their own, barrel cannon can launch you, and the bunny hood increases recovery and speed. Like I said, just a guess.
