Mass Effect is really that good, eh?

I was probably going to get Oblivion first, but now I dunno. Anyways, I'm glad to see all of you appreciate Rock Band as much as I do.

Mass Effect is just an all around better game than Oblivion. Sure, Oblivion took me about 100 hours to beat because I got so caught up in the side quests and just running around the world, but Mass Effect was definitely the best game of 2007 for me.

Sensai, have you not seen Mass Effect in action?

They're both awesome on the first playthrough, but Oblivion's difficulty can be abused too easily. I'll admit I did play Oblivion WAY too much when it first came out. If you can, get Oblivion for the PC, my friend showed me a ****load of cool stuff you can do in that game that you can't do on the 360 for obvious reasons. If you were to pick between those two rpgs, all I can tell you is to flip a coin and get the other one later, both are some of the best games on the 360(ever, imo).

I'm starting to wonder if I'm the only person who votes on nearly every category, I doubted that VO5, Forza 2, and Metal Slug Anthology would actually win when I cast my votes for them. I think this happened last year too.

I'm glad Mass Effect and Super Mario Galaxy got the most votes on OTS, both are really great.

It's crazy to think that all of these games came out in the same year.

Behind you.
@ Cashed: No, I haven't seen Mass Effect in action...but I know that the hook to it was the story, not the graphics, whereas for Crysis it was the graphics, and not the gameplay/story, that was the draw.

I dunno, there was a lot of hype about Mass Effect graphics as well.

Lol @ not-so-astonishingly low amount of PS3 games on the list. No Lair for GotY? lulz

I'd agree with just about everything on there. Good list.

Mass Effect really is that good. I think IGN's review was spot on. There's a couple of small issues that irk you from time to time that could easily have been polished, but overall the game does so much so well.

Wow, Mass Effect did better than I thought it would

Around this time next year Brawl is going to dominate virtually every category.

pretty much how i thought it would be, expcept for i thought Syphon Filter would have taken the PSP GOTY without a tie

Pleasing results.

I think Halo has the best multiplayer but its nowhere near as good as Call Of Duty 4 in any way for the main game.

And Bioshock got shafted, easily the best first person shooter.

Hooray for Mario Galaxy and Mass Effect.

I find it pretty amusing that Galaxy ties with God of War 2 for best action game, yet God of War 2 didn't tie for GOTY while Galaxy did.

I mean, by saying they were both the best action games of 07, you're saying they're equal.
If so, why isn't God of War 2 GOTY like Galaxy is?

SMG is an adventure game as much as an action game and much more innovative.

Hey wtf, Syphon Filter fans on this forum? Argh if I voted SF would get its proper props!
