Heyo! I JUST joined the Smashboards hoping there may be some SSB players in Austin and saw this thread. I've tried running through a few pages in this topic but am afraid I don't have the energy to run through all 100+ pages :-\

Anyone mind filling me in as to how the Austin tournaments are usually set up and run? Keep in mind that I've been playing Smash for a while, but am extremely inexperienced at any kind of competitive gaming. Thanks :-D

We don't have any tournaments set up in Austin at the moment. We travel to Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio for tournaments. But we meet once a week for Smashfests.

I seriously doubt we'll need three set-ups, though.

I'm also going to have a number of other valuable items in the car for my in-town business after leaving there, but I know from my S.L.U.T. experience that my car is difficult to penetrate without making a lot of noise. :3
