I have a bit of a strange request, and please forgive me for this being my very first post.

I wish to create .brstm files that contain more than the standard two audio channels. The reason for this is that the files I'm modifying contain four channels, and I cannot seem to figure out how to make any .brstm files I make have more than just the standard two.

If you're curious as to why, it is for files with a "STRM" prefix where the indoor/outdoor portions of the kart track utilize different audio channels to achieve that dampened indoor cave sound. With the 2-channel files I've been creating, half the track sits in silence.

Any advice or hints as to how I would go about this? Again my apologies is this is not the appropriate place to ask! If so could you direct me to where I might be able to get some help? Thanks a ton.

Just combine the right channels of both the indoor and outdoor sections and the left channels of both sections.

I would if I knew how, and thank you and darksamus77 both for your replies.

My process is thus: I go from editing a .wav using Audacity directly to creating a .brstm using Brawlbox and I'm not sure if brawlbox can handle creating brstm files with anything other than 2 channels. I figure if I fed it an audio file with 4 channels, maybe then it would output a brstm file with 4 channels, but I can't even get that far.

I'll take my question over to the FAQ and Tutorial section then! Thanks again for your help, and if you have any ideas or if anyone else reads this who has any ideas, please don't hesitate to PM me.
