The Fourth Official BBR New Member Application Thread
This shouldn't be anything new to most of you. For those that it is new to, every so often we hold applications for members interested in trying to get into the BBR. Anyone may apply.
You will apply here. Details on what to post are below. At the deadline, the thread will be closed, I'll review over EVERYONE'S applications, and give my thoughts on who's a good candidate or not to the governing body of the BBR. Currently, they are: Marc, AlphaZealot, and Shaya. They will ALSO review the list and run final admissions.
Do NOT PM me your application.
Applications will conclude on December 1.

Membership Application/Questions
Qualifications:
The Brawl Back Room is a forum meant to encourage intelligent discussion in the topics of metagame, tournament rules, and national/international scale tournament organization. While this means there is an emphasized priority on accepting top players and/or prominent TO's, we are not necessarily exclusive to those people only. If you demonstrate strong discussion/debate skills, willingness to experiment for the creation and improvement of suggested tournament rules, deep insight into the workings of the game, or any combination of those, you could have a good chance of making it in. If you believe you are qualified to become a member and wish to become one, please post here with your name, any description of yourself and possibly links to some of your posts as good examples of what you might contribute to the BBR, and answers to the questions below.
Questions:
You may answer any or all questions below. The more you provide, the better of an idea we'll get of who you are and whether or not to accept you to the BBR. Some of them might be more important than others.
Tournament Questions
- What is your overall tournament experience? Do you host/co-host them, or attend them regularly?
-- If you regularly attend tournaments, how is your overall tournament performance? Please link results, if available.
-- If you regularly host tournaments, please name any notable events or note any contributions you have made to the scene.
- What is the scope of your tournament experience (local, regional, national)?
- What is your opinion of the current state of the competitive Brawl tournament scene?
Specialty Questions
- If you were to be accepted, in what area do you feel would be your best contributions to the BBR? For example, stage analysis, character analysis, gameplay, or tournament perspective.
- What aspect of the game would you like to see the BBR look into/work on?
- Is there anything you would hope to gain by being a part of the BBR?
- Please link to posts of any contributions or interesting discussions you have made in the past; be sure to show examples what you feel you would best bring to the Brawl Back Room.
Other Questions
- What do you think of the BBR? Be honest, we can take it.
- How do you feel the current BBR can improve, and do you have any plans of helping in this aspect if accepted?
- The BBR is most known for competitive metagame-related projects such as the character match-up chart, the tier list, and the in-depth stage analysis project. Are there any other projects or ideas you believe the BBR should undertake?
- What do you see in this picture?
- As you may have noticed, the physical distance between North America, Europe, and Japan, as well as differing philosophies on rules and stage lists, has also introduced a significant divide in opinions on things such as tier lists and character match-ups. How do you believe this should best be approached? Should more voice be given in a universal list or chart, or should the divided metagames also be represented with separate lists and charts? Or do you believe there is a better solution?
- What makes a player "the best"? What about a "top level player"?
- What's your favorite kind of tea?
