mmm, I went to a tournament not to long ago at a local community college and didn't make it past the pools to get into the bracket, then again I was up against people like darkrain, dmac, and a lot of poor match-ups (character wise). Round 100 people there.
I learned it's going to be hard to win a tournament playing olimar exclusively....

Well I got 3rd out of 25ish today.... lost to typh twice (2-1, then 3-1 in losers finals) and he lost to fiction twice. Typh knows my play style way too well -_-
They decided to squeeze a doubles tournament in at the end, there were only 6 or 7 entrants, typh and I got 2nd. The losers finals set was pure insanity... It went to the 5th match, they were lucario-gdubs and we were kirby-pt, and the match was on rainbow cruise. we were getting DESTROYED, and then we started making a comeback, and we managed to get them down to one stock but we were both in the mid 100s, and then we gimped them both simultaneously. I just sat there in disbelief, I couldn't believe it ended like that, and we won. Typh might post the vid, it's on his SD card.

Juanda991:well, in the last 10 days ive played two important tournaments here in Colombia, all tournaments has about 60 persons and i placed 2st in both, the first one i lost the final match fith a fox, and the second i lost the final with a snake.
aslo i want to say every body, i play olimar because i love him , is so cute and very powerful, but everybody know that the best chara in the game is snake, very far, is imposible that an olimar can beat a good snake if he has the same or more skills than you.

1st of 15 at play n trade tourney today(15 dollar entry fee, also really cold in there)
first round: 3stocked a kirby on fd, had 18% at end
second round: 3 stocked a lucas on fd, had 96% at end
third round: got dk smashed on fd at 118% on last life, somehow lived then stage spiked with upb him when he tried edgegaurding me with 160% at last life
fourth roundwinners semis) got wario wafted at 90% on fd on last life, self explanatory, close match though
fifth roundlosers finals) fought same guy as third round but he used luigi(wario was another random match i confused with) this time on fd, won on last life at like 50%, nothing special happened
sixth roundwinners/losers finals)first match: fought guy from fourth round(i had to win 2 in a row now while he only had to win one) he picks dk on fd, i get lucky spike during his recovery at like 120% winning the match, 2nd match: he picks wario on fd, i took off sweater to help me focus more, won at like 80% with nair to upsmash combo on him at like 130%,he got p/oed because he as so confident he could beat me again and yet lost after the match
won $70 in store credit, he got $55, really quick tourney though, only 2 hours

Dyyne:I got 9th in the tourny dabuz is talking about going mostly oli and some mk. Me and Sanzi got second in doubles to Blackanese and Basic Sausage, but I was mostly mk in doubles, with some oli. I fought Blackanese second round and his wolf beats me. It was just spam really, so if someone could tell me how to beat wolf, that'd be great

Me and dabuz (and another oli whos tag was "decoy") went to castle smash 2 on Long Island. 42 entrants, I got 17 after eli-mination countered me with luigi (and absolutely ***** me third round) and sent to losers, where anti knowcked me out. Dabuz was about to fight eli for winner's finals, but he had to go, so he got third. Either eli, bum, or anti won the whole thing. Me and dabuz (especially him) did pretty good overall.

KMAY:Well it was just a 16 person online double eliminiation tourney on IGN...I know I know...but I won and I got 1000 VC points. Had to play a spammy wolf who ALL the did was press B, that was crazy BORING. Then in the finals I had to play a crazy good marth, who was Fairing the crap out of me. He won the first set 3-1(thank god for the winners bracket) then I won the second set 3-1. I am also going to Gigabits this weekend in Orlando, if anyone else is going let me know, hopefully I can do Olimar proud!

Just went to Gigabits yesterday in Orlando. I placed 16th out of 76 people. Not bad for my first tourney in person, I ended up losing to Galleon (Lucas). I was the highest placing Olimar though.

mmm, I went to a tournament not to long ago at a local community college and didn't make it past the pools to get into the bracket, then again I was up against people like darkrain, dmac, and a lot of poor match-ups (character wise). Round 100 people there.
I learned it's going to be hard to win a tournament playing olimar exclusively....

Well I got 3rd out of 25ish today.... lost to typh twice (2-1, then 3-1 in losers finals) and he lost to fiction twice. Typh knows my play style way too well -_-
They decided to squeeze a doubles tournament in at the end, there were only 6 or 7 entrants, typh and I got 2nd. The losers finals set was pure insanity... It went to the 5th match, they were lucario-gdubs and we were kirby-pt, and the match was on rainbow cruise. we were getting DESTROYED, and then we started making a comeback, and we managed to get them down to one stock but we were both in the mid 100s, and then we gimped them both simultaneously. I just sat there in disbelief, I couldn't believe it ended like that, and we won. Typh might post the vid, it's on his SD card.

Juanda991:well, in the last 10 days ive played two important tournaments here in Colombia, all tournaments has about 60 persons and i placed 2st in both, the first one i lost the final match fith a fox, and the second i lost the final with a snake.
aslo i want to say every body, i play olimar because i love him , is so cute and very powerful, but everybody know that the best chara in the game is snake, very far, is imposible that an olimar can beat a good snake if he has the same or more skills than you.

1st of 15 at play n trade tourney today(15 dollar entry fee, also really cold in there)
first round: 3stocked a kirby on fd, had 18% at end
second round: 3 stocked a lucas on fd, had 96% at end
third round: got dk smashed on fd at 118% on last life, somehow lived then stage spiked with upb him when he tried edgegaurding me with 160% at last life
fourth roundwinners semis) got wario wafted at 90% on fd on last life, self explanatory, close match though
fifth roundlosers finals) fought same guy as third round but he used luigi(wario was another random match i confused with) this time on fd, won on last life at like 50%, nothing special happened
sixth roundwinners/losers finals)first match: fought guy from fourth round(i had to win 2 in a row now while he only had to win one) he picks dk on fd, i get lucky spike during his recovery at like 120% winning the match, 2nd match: he picks wario on fd, i took off sweater to help me focus more, won at like 80% with nair to upsmash combo on him at like 130%,he got p/oed because he as so confident he could beat me again and yet lost after the match
won $70 in store credit, he got $55, really quick tourney though, only 2 hours

Dyyne:I got 9th in the tourny dabuz is talking about going mostly oli and some mk. Me and Sanzi got second in doubles to Blackanese and Basic Sausage, but I was mostly mk in doubles, with some oli. I fought Blackanese second round and his wolf beats me. It was just spam really, so if someone could tell me how to beat wolf, that'd be great

Me and dabuz (and another oli whos tag was "decoy") went to castle smash 2 on Long Island. 42 entrants, I got 17 after eli-mination countered me with luigi (and absolutely ***** me third round) and sent to losers, where anti knowcked me out. Dabuz was about to fight eli for winner's finals, but he had to go, so he got third. Either eli, bum, or anti won the whole thing. Me and dabuz (especially him) did pretty good overall.

KMAY:Well it was just a 16 person online double eliminiation tourney on IGN...I know I know...but I won and I got 1000 VC points. Had to play a spammy wolf who ALL the did was press B, that was crazy BORING. Then in the finals I had to play a crazy good marth, who was Fairing the crap out of me. He won the first set 3-1(thank god for the winners bracket) then I won the second set 3-1. I am also going to Gigabits this weekend in Orlando, if anyone else is going let me know, hopefully I can do Olimar proud!

Just went to Gigabits yesterday in Orlando. I placed 16th out of 76 people. Not bad for my first tourney in person, I ended up losing to Galleon (Lucas). I was the highest placing Olimar though.
