thing is we don't have good control on this stage
1. the stage is too small to set anything up
2. the two side platforms do **** all, and are easy to avoid any traps up there
3.the middle platform is too easy to avoid because its high
4. snake is vulnerable everywhere on this stage, including platforms and the ground

IMO 3 or 4/10

brinstar is an awful stage for snake and you should feel bad about yourself for thinking otherwise

So Brinstar is supposed to be less than good for Snake. What I don't get is why its supposed to be so bad.

Layout - There are 3 platforms and a main area. It is fairly small, but I always felt having a smaller space to control is easier. I find a few stage layouts help me.

Snake on left platform, mine on split point of main platform, C4 on right platform. Nades can be set on the top platform from anywhere on the left one. Nade also for the small safe section.

Mirror this on right side platform, except you have to jump + nade throw to get it on the top platform.

On with snake under top platform. C4 on right platform, mine on left. Mortar top platform, you control the main plat.

Acid - Can save you, not that you'll usually need it.

Small stage helps kill even earlier. MK dies at ~95 from bottom, ~88 from top with Utilt. (Halberd is slighty better, ~88 from bottom)

Refresh your moves with the pillars and stage break.

It's not my favorite with Snake, but what's so bad?

C4 on top platform is really **** if you play a good grenade game in the middle of the stage,have a mine on one of the other platforms in conjuction with the lava rising... You can get some pretty early kills with that

Lets discuss another stage... Frigate anyone? Thats my usual CP ^_^
