Sad episode. Well handled by Jeff imo, shows that he has alot of understanding of the game and experience from all his seasons. Switching tribes would not have benefited the lategame if he would for some reason survive in the game longer.

Widl- I would recommend redemption island, but it depends on the person you recommend it too, if they would like to see really good gameplay that is a go to season..

Best thing about the episode was the idle, its a gamble but doing as he said (which i thought he could try to before i saw he played it) is a cool option that is for certain not someone can see coming to many times.

I don't know...I would probably NEVER recommend Redemption Island to anybody. That and One World are considered to be the two WORST seasons along with Samoa.

Heroes vs. Villains is probably a really solid introduction season. The only real strike against it is it has all returning players and not the usual dynamic. But each episode has some great moments. The challenges are also really epic. Some later seasons (I think it was one world) had like, hey here's some sticks, tie them together for reward. Jeff doesn't even show up to officiate it. What was up with those. I remember thinking HvV had killer challenges every episode along with a lot of shenanigans and mind games and interesting personalities. There are probably some bad parts I don't remember but if I had to pick a season to watch with someone that would definitely be it.

I don't know...Vanuatu is one of my favourite seasons ever, especially for the post-merge. Yeah, the pre-merge had a couple slow spots but daaaamn, if the post merge doesn't have an awesome underdog story and a really good winner.

My guilty pleasure season is Tocantins. What it lacks in moments and crazy things it makes up for in interesting characters... Though I think it's a better watch for people who have a few seasons under their belt, otherwise they may get bored pre merge.

Besides the pretty obvious Pearl Islands or China, I think I'd recommend someone watch Panama as well. The tribes may be a bit jarring, but it has everything in it. Idols, Exile Island, a good winner, a good rivalry (I love Terry), a good villain, and a crazy lady. Plus a medivac, it gives a good idea on what survivor is.

Poor Matt...such a victim this episode. Don't know why they got rid of one of the stronger players in their tribe considering...the other team is horrifically stacked. Seriously, orange team ain't going to tribal till the merge.

We'll, at least it looks like Brenda and Erik makes the merge and the jury. And Erik TALKED this episode. Brenda too, but not in a confessional, afaics.

Very surprised they decided to go with Matt in the end. Kudos to Cochran... well, kinda. lol. Julia was one of the stronger people on the Gota tribe before wasn't she? Don't think this was her challenge. Yeah...

Some people speculated that NuBikal might have figured the merge was at 12 or 11 and decided to throw the challenge so they could just vote off the Fans. However...I kinda think merge might not be until 10, so eventually they'd run out of Fans to vote off.

Oh, also as much as I (sometimes) enjoy seeing Phillip on screen, he gets waaaay too much screen time. Literally the last 3 previews were focused on Phillip in some way...overkill.

Then again I think this is cause Phillip will probably be voted out relatively soon. Like, I can almost guarantee he'll be the next favorite to go.

Yeah, I kinda suspect that might be the case. It's the same as the sort of thing that happened with Shamar and Brandon. I felt we were getting a lot from them because the editors knew they'd be out early (episodes 4 and 5 respectively) and were trying to get as much out of them as possible. Plus, with both of them gone a LOT of other people have gotten a good bit more screentime, and if Phillip goes soon like he hopefully will, then you could pretty much fit 2 or 3 people in the airtime that he's using. Still, it's nothing like Russell in Samoa where if you took out 60% of his confessionals he'd still be a big character and at least half the cast could be given proper edits.

Yeah Samoa was the absolute worst with its focus on Russell...sad how Russell looks normal compared to Brandon and Wille from Big Brother. Speaking of which, I never want to see another Hantz on reality TV again. Please.

Yeah, I think a lot of people feel the same these days. Though I personally felt that way already after South Pacific.

This episode truly had everything. TONS of strategy. Cochran making the biggest upset in an immunity challenge... ever? And the blindside.
While I'm upset that Corinne went home, she made a mistake telling Dawn. I'm kinda puzzled she didn't just go along with Phillip's split-the-vote thing, 5 for Eddie, 5 for Reynolds (thinking that Sherri and Michael goes along with the faves - the girls (Dawn, Andrea, Sherri, Corinne, Brenda) vote for Eddie, the guys (Malcolm, Michael, Cochran, Erik, Phillip)). Corinne and Malcolm are now sitting on that information, which basicly tells them: 4 votes for Eddie, 2 votes for Reynolds (if Erik goes along, it's safer than a 6-6 split, and it's between THREE fans) - then they have Malcolm, Corinne, Erik, Michael, Eddie, Reynolds voting for Sherri or whatever. 6-4-2. I don't know if this would seem suspicious to the other faves, that Corinne is willing to just do what she's told, but who knows.

Given the cards Erik was dealt, I think he made the right choice keeping with the Stealth 'R Us. He is alienating himself from the tough challenge competitors, slightly taking the target off his back. If he is tight with Brenda, there's a two in a potential final 6 or 7 down the line. Sherri said she didn't stand Phillip, so I could imagine Dawn and Cochran bringing her in. You wouldn't go to a four with two vs two I'd imagine, so they will allign with either Brenda and Erik or Phillip and Andrea then there is a five (with sub-alliances a three to two) vs two. I still think Dawn and Cochran are in a good spot. But you never know what will happen on Survivor.

[wall of text] tl;dr: some random speculation.

Corinne didn't make the jury... Wow. That kinda sucks. Aren't the top 12 usually in the jury?

I'm also bummed that Corinne is gone cause she was growing on me as well... She had some great lines this season and was really nice to look at. Brenda makes up for her loss but I'm not sure if she even exists.

The reason I enjoyed that tribal council so much was because I had no idea which side I was rooting for... I have players that I like and am rooting for in both alliances (Brenda/Cochran vs Malcolm/Corrine). But it really is a shame that Corinne had to go so soon.

Well, least Andrea is still looking cute. Sadly she wears those baggy shorts though that kinda cover up her curves. Corinne walked around in basically her undergarments...ahh...

Which reminds me of Cochran's previous comment in the season. I honestly think he has a good chance of winning the whole thing.

I am glad Corinne is gone, it was great to see her get "punched in the face" (it almost looked like it literally happened every vote that had her name on it too, sweet as honey to me). Wasn't thinking long term... hell, she wasn't even thinking short term because she terminated herself by conspicuously trying to make ties with everyone not in your alliance. I actually hated listening to her comments because it was very social-centric to the point of being absurd, she likes the one guy because he is gay and she loves gay people and therefore has a strong desire to keep him in, wants to take out the "vanilla" girl because she is boring, wants to take out Phillip who is crazy and annoying although loyal and sometimes competent in challenges.

It was even more frustrating to see her talk to Phillip in their debates on what to do, on two specific occasion that I can recall Phillip was actually recommending the logical course of action and she resisted because it either defied her selfish hidden plots she couldn't reveal or broke her social-centric motivations. Each time she was somehow taken aback at how Phillip resisted her, and she usually exaggerated about how he treated her. She was nice to look at, sure, but not always for me because of her personality. I still have Sherri, I'm probably alone on that though, but she has some curves too. :p

I have to admit that for as good as this episode was, it made me sad to see Corinne go. However, it makes me think that Dawn might have a shot at things.

So I rewatched Survivor: Redemption Island during the course of yesterday and today. Screw me, right?

It was partly to get a feel of Andrea's game and see if there were some potential future players there. It was hard to watch at times because I can't stand Phillip. Something I didn't remember though was that Stealth R Us actually originated this season. I honestly didn't remember him throwing it out there, I thought it was something he made up during this season. Oh well, I don't think it's the worst season (I will still give that to Fiji, hands down - I also struggled with other seasons like Thailand (hardly remember anything) and Vanuatu), but it has one of the worst final episodes, that is for sure, except the part where Andrea wins the duel at redemption island.

I don't really see any future players except maybe Matt and Stephanie (last one's a stretch though, but I wouldn't mind, at least she has some personality). Mike has marginal shot, but only because he came of as a really likeable person. Seriously doubt it though.

Right now I am thinking of possible season to rewatch. I have watched Gabon at least twice, Redemption Island twice, South Pacific twice, Micronesia maybe thrice, Samoa twice, Tocantins twice, China twice (China-HvV is a pretty nice chain of seasons imo), The Amazon twice and Panama twice. I started watching Nicaragua, but I only got to episode 5 or 6 (will finish I guess, but so many people annoy me! I really only liked Jill and she got voted out before the merge). I really prefer the seasons with a hidden immunity idol, but I'm thinking maybe Pearl Islands or Marquesas.

Omg. Funniest, weirdest and craziest vote in a long time. I was certain Andrea was going home. Also, it was hella smart by Malcolm to convince Reynold to give him the idol, HAD IT WORKED. But still, they don't know that Malcolm has one, so I'm eager to see what happens next.

I really hope that Dawn doesn't pull herself from the game, but the previews are always fishy (fishy-fisheyyy!), so I don't think it will happen.

AND HOW CAN BRENDA WIN IMMUNITY AND NOT GET A CONFESSIONAL? I mean come on!

WIDL you didn't hear? Apparently Brenda had a lesbian affair with Probst's wife. This is his way of getting back at her. She could win the entire season and he'll still find a way to make sure she remains non-existent.

But once again I can't even get angry cause that was yet another amazing episode. This might be the most strategy-savvy group of players we've ever had. Backstabbing and sub-alliances everywhere.

I severely underestimated Andrea... She's been the one really calling the shots (aka letting Phillip think he's running the show) and is probably the most powerful player in the game after that last vote. She played the hell out of Malcolm and Reynold. But Malcolm still has an idol I think so I expect things to get shaken up once again. Phillip in his own weird way has actually been playing a very solid game as well. I see very few scenarios where he doesn't make the final 3.

This has definitely been a 5 star season so far. Could have been 6 stars if Brenda existed... Such a shame. In all seriousness would just one or two confessionals detailing what her plans are at this point in the game be too much to ask for? Her and Erik may as well be two random people who just happen to walk around camp and vote at tribals. I'm still confused as to how she could go from being a star in her season to a virtual nobody in the next.

I'm pretty sure you're kidding about the Brenda thing, TRG, lol. Either way, this episode was REALLY good and I'm starting to think Dawn might just take the whole shebang.

Phillip will NEVER make final 3 in this game. Idk, he's a throwaway vote to everyone basically. Thy just let him believe he's in power so he doesn't cause a ruckus.

But Yeeeah loving the strategy so far! Haha Michael calling everyone turkeys. Andrea is pretty smart actually. Wow. Smart and...curvacious.

There's always that one skinny girl during an endurance challenge that lapses into a coma state. Anyone ever pay attention to the way Brenda moves? Always doing some sort of little dance. It's cute :p.

Anyways, my final 3 prediction is Cochran, Dawn, ...Brenda

Idk. Predictions.

LivewiresXe you mean I'm kidding about the lesbian affair or baffled about how she's not getting screen time? >.>

And Yonder you do realize Phillip made the Final 3 in his last season, right? He got dragged along by Boston Rob and it looks like Andrea/Cochran/Dawn may be doing the same thing. I don't' think he'll win but IMO he's been doing a good job of keeping his alliance together (like how he was able to instantly get Sherri under his wing). In RI he was an idiot but this season he's an idiot with a pretty solid plan that has been working in his favor. Can't hate on the Specialist.

Oh yeah, I was saying you were probably kidding about the lesbian affair thing. I'm still totally team Dawn, but I really want Andrea to take it too.

I think Phillip is still going to be ousted by letting his ego get the best of him at the very last moment. I think a more solidified alliance with drag him to the top 7 or something. But yeah, his ego will be his downfall. Case in point, Ken from Gabon. If he didn't get so cocky the night before his elimination, he probably would of stayed that night.

Don't get me wrong, Phillip is fun and he is playing a much better game than last time, but this season there are some really clever people that will probably outwit him. Redemption island was full of idiots.

And the ironic thing is one of those "idiots" is totally playing him now and keeping him for a vote and so he'll be the target, too.

Bad moves sure, but people was playing the game hard, check the first vote(s?, dont remember exacly) but there were a few snakes that would have made it far if they hadnt trusted Phillip, and after that Rob just kept his game going.

I can see and have thought Andrea might make it far, but as the game progresses it looks like Phillip has some control even if that can be said about other players too.

Did i percept it right that Phillip was targeting Probst? XD

I don't remember if this was in Samoa or Redemption Island, but Natalie smacking her butt is the since hottest moment in survivor. I'm on an iPod right now so I can't really post a gif of it but it is really, really nice.
