Tourney room only I believe.

The lag isn't even that bad. Play on the flat screen at Uplink. Then you can talk about lag.

They are bad enough to a technical spacie player, also I think my placings outside of smsahacre and then AT smashacre should clearly show it affects me, if you guys think its a john and I'm forced to play on the laggy tv's i might just not go.

I'll wait for a more offical word than yours on that from woz or something lol, no offense, but most people aren't as critical as you and probably won't mind playing on the tvs people bring provided there are enough like 5-6 or something.

Yea I can sympathize for once, lag doe effect me noticeably,( on a semi related side note I picked up guilty gear this week and trying to frc dizzys ice spike on a hdtv is quite annoying) however the former doesnt matter so much since i really dont compete lol.

Considering Smashacre is a pretty big league "circuit" tournament, it seems quite unfair to demand people to play on laggy tvs, even if they aren't "too laggy" (Which is a completely subjective statement, since the meaning of too laggy is up to the person who is saying it.)

Here is an example of the lag and how it affects people- When performing Falco's firestall, you have to be so accurate with your timing in order to keep perfect invicibility. You have a VERY small window, and if you mess up you can die. (Remember when LK killed Reik because he missed his firestall invincibility?) At smashacre both Reik and Eggm couldn't use this technique at all because the timing was on due to the lag. When they fought Kaiser they both had trouble edgegaurding without this technique, and both lost. Now I'm not saying they would have surely won, but its very possible since they were both missing quite a few edgegaurds without the use of the firestall.

And its not even just that. Thats one of many many things that space animals have that takes ridiculous timing. Multishines, combos, and movement in general are affected. Its pretty unfair to ask people in a semi-professional field to play with a handicap.

I think that if someone feels the lag hurts them, they should be able to wait to play on a tv that doesn't have lag. Simple as that.

Did you guys forget that the circuit consists of different events and not JUST Smashacre?

Some of you seem to be misunderstanding exactly how the circuit works.

In any case, I've asked if people wanted to bring their TV's in. If they wish to use those for tournament instead, they're free to do so.

those tv's arent that bad if u warm up on them... then the lag isnt really noticeable... but if u go to a tv that doesnt lag and go back to that tv then u will feel the difference

Yeah you defintlay notice it a lot more when you are switching back and forth which I was doing for friendlies to warmup and stuff, also sometimes if you get far in the bracket you end up waiting a long time before your match and then going on to the laggy tv messes you up, and yes the firestalling is really really hard on those tv's, and not just doing it frame perfect, but doing it at all. In any case... I'll just bring my tv to the next one and play my tourney matches on there, and max we've played before? Thats cool if you beat my pink yoshi of death, but I promise you I will try and win your 5$. :) Is this MM going to be 2o utta 3 or 3 outta 5?

There is no window. It needs to be done 100% frame perfect to stay invincible or they can be hit if they time an attack right before the regrab. Even with lag out of the equation completely it is pretty easy to get hit out of if they are able to time a hit then since it doesn't exactly keep them out of range like many other stalls for when one does happen to let go of the edge 1 frame late which is inevitable.

WoZ shouldn't be allowed to edit my posts based on gayness... That's discrimination.
Second warning.

Its only inevitable for humans to miss it. Fortunately, Eggm isn't human.

Actually, I can, since it's inappropriate, and if I wasn't a moderator, I would indeed PM a mod to remove it because I, as well as others, don't want to see that **** in my thread. Since I'm already a moderator, I can and will remove those images. You post them again, and you'll be given some infractions. Be lucky I'm not too trigger happy with it already.

Uh... They're just off-topic or something. I don't see anything in the rules against posting something where people are kissing. -.-

Besides the fact that they are spam (which is an extremely common infraction of the rules) I think that I have to side with Inui on this one. I mean, you may not like it, but there is nothing inappropriate about a drawing of boys kissing. To treat it differently from a heterosexual couple kissing shows a definite bias, and would be an inappropriate action for a mod to take because it could surely offend someone.

Now if you were to treat any and all pictures of people kissing in the same fashion as you have with Inui's, I don't see a problem. :)

Edit: Uhh, W.J who are you and why are you trolling the atlantic north section jumping on the hate inui bandwagon?

I wouldn't have treated it differently from a couple of heterosexual people, and considering no one posts that kind of stuff anyway, there's really no call for bias here.

EDIT: WJ runs the Smash hub. He's pretty well known actually.

Umm wtf guys? Don't say he's discriminating unless there is actual proof of it. Have either of you two seen WoZ post in a topic with there is a heterosexual couple kissing(and knowing Inui it was probably exceptionally gay, possibly explicit as well)? If you have, THEN you can call him down from discriminating and link him to that topic and call him a hypocrite. If not, then don't show him any disrespect for that.

@JFox - I believe WJ runs Hub.

EDIT: <_< WoZ's edit answered the question as to who WJ is.

I don't care that you have been here a year longer than I have. By the looks of your posting, I'd say your still a pretty immature person. And I don't care for people to enjoy bashing others just cuz everyone else is doing it.

I don't care to fight you considering I don't even know you. I just found your comment very rude and inappropriate.

Edit: Oh and I'm not on the hub, nor have I ever been.

just because someone doesnt type in "Proper puncuation and grammar" does not mean that they are immature, it means they are just lazy

Look I can type like a total pretentious jerk also!

My comment may have been harsh, but dealing with wise ***** all day I felt I should stick up for WoZ... Now if you don't mind, please kindly remove yourself from the vacinity of my nuts. Thank you and have a nice day.
