I don't really like it either, of course. The main good thing from that to me is that it basically means that I need to simply use more weapons, although I probably wouldn't want to use the valuable weapons too much. I guess it couldn't have hurt to have a way to strengthen weapons, in terms of durability.

Zelda fans go in their own cycle. What's considered the "bad" one now won't be 5 years from now, same for which one is considered the "best". Also, a lack of voice for Link isn't what cause divisive opinions in the Zelda community for TP and SW. What caused it for TP was the fact it featured a big map with nothing in it and divisive opinions on Wolf Link gameplay, and SW is criticized to this day because of the overuse of motion controls.
