Hey guys, These are the matches I have uploaded so far. I would highly appreciate feedback. As a disclaimer, Some of the matches are against scrubs, most are against competent players. The Tampa P:M community is growing and many are new to the game. I am one of the forerunners leading the way. Another Disclaimer is that these matches are recorded off of an HD TV, not CRT's, so there are lag Johns in that. CRT recordings will come later. A combo Video will be added later, as for now, Critiques on my game would be great. Overall comments and video by video breakdowns are both welcome (compliments are also welcome)

Unfortunately 2 of the videos are soundless because of custom Music on Final Destination causing a copyright issue. Please enjoy the gameplay regardless!

I Play a very agro, punish read game Yoshi, Constructive Criticism please, I wish to stay in this playstyle, but improve it in any way I can

I found these very helpful. Any videos are great. I hope you don't mind if I attempt to discuss some of the aspects of your play related to mine. (In hopes of improving or understanding more)

I've watched the first two so far.

-This is a general observation, but I'll give it specifically applicable to the MK matches: When close to MK and he attacks unsafely on shield you chose often to short hop nair OoS. You managed to hit MK almost always, but to me it seemed like this left you in the air long enough MK was often able to land a hit back on you. Do you not feel much better attempting a double jump L-canceled Nair OoS? This leaves you essentially immediately grounded and can lead to dash attack, grab or double jab (% dependant?). The DJ Lcancel Nair OoS seems to be a very safe option that increases my ability to follow up. Let me know what you think.
-General Comment: I notice a lot less wave dashing for you than I. I don't know what to make of this. Your movement seems fine, but I really prefer the unpredictability of yoshi's wavedash. In conjunction with dash dance at about a 50-50 split, this seems to make yoshi very unpredictable. Lemme know what you think. I also love wavedash in (or out + d smash/fsmash to catch dash attackers) double jab to catch opponents who are setting up a heavy hitting aerial going in.

I'll watch the other videos later but I gotta study for finals still :'(

I'm still working on the DJC nairs OoS. and I wavedash much lass on HD TVs than I do on CRTs. (CRT matches coming soon). I'm also keen on making DJC wavedashes a thing. Extra distance and extra unpredictability and a few frames of super armor.
ThankYou for the Feedback!

I like your punishment game you seem to have a idea of what to do. I would imply more double dashing (tapping the stick twice In a slight delayed motion.

You did become to predictable with the ground pound (from the air) most yoshis don't know when yoshi jumps up it triggers a sweetspot forcing your opponent slightly upward into the range of the ground pound.

Something I noticed is that you need to read what you should do after a throw, I feel like Yoshi can do something out of any DI from Dthrow, except for maybe away. Sometimes you let that opportunity go. Explore Uair or DownB after dthrow. Also work on reads off of other moves, you'll be surprised with what you can get away with. Also work on your edge guards. Other then that solid stuff! Nice to see Tampa coming up in the Smash Community!

In the first game on the list I saw some perfect situations for a jab reset, and your spacing needs work. You should consider applying more techs to throw off your opponent and close the gap with some wave dashes so you can rack up some serious dmg with combos after you land a hit. Also, I noticed that you sometimes use down b defensively in the air which put you in some pretty unfavorable situations. Try to use it as a last resort desperation move instead of a defensive tactic when you panic, 'cus someone who knows how to respond will punish accordingly and it can cost you a stock. Also, I saw some areas where you engaged and it cost you. Instead of over extending your reach why not toss a couple eggs instead and finnish the job when the situation is more favorable so as to lower the chances of it backfiring.

In the second game where you had that ganon super salty, you could have used your parry to djc nair in a few situations against his falcon. You should also put in some time wave landing and set like 30 mins aside here and there for some shffl action. I saw alot of windows for you to follow up and your landing animations held you back from landing at least 2 more aerials each time.

On the third game you decided to not edge hog against ivy, seems like it was due to his tether. I'm not sure what version that was but now when you edge hog before his tether he gets no iframes, cannot grab ledge, or refresh his second jump, and ends up right above you when he comes up. Btw props for that last egg on bowser before he killed you, and that fake out from the egg roll made him miss fsmash on a hard read. I almost cried I was laughing so hard. You can also bait out moves by dash dancing. On that note, You might want to consider comparing your dash jump cancel grab and dash grabs I think the jump canceled one has less frames and is not as easy to punish though I havent played yoshi in some time so don't quote me on that.
