Dinners almost ready so I'll post more after, but I'd be up for a meetup, busy 16th and 18th and 21st. Also if youér calling places try Morley Salvation Army. they have a great hall (If you call, ask about the Scope/Youth Group room) It's also got a bunch of computers with net access (dunno if they'd be usable or if they'd be locked up) and at least 2 TV's. Tell them thta Michael Cohen would help set it up. I rented it out for a birthday lan a few years back
That was a good place plus an awesome lan. ^^

Pah, studying. Every last one of you is inferior to me :p. Hell, I went to a Magic tournament last Friday just to waste some time rather than study. (and for those of you now wondering, no, there isn't a game that can be played competatively that I don't play).

Swordsaint doesn't surprise me with his comment, but i'd love to see how many interstaters would actually be willing to take that up_ Mic that sounds like an interesting venue_ How much did it cost to hire it out do you know_?

Had my 1st exam today. It went for 3 hours but I finished it and destroyed it in 1:20 :D I expect a 85%+

I thought about it some more and for me to 'safely' secure $200 at $5 each I would have to win 40 best of 3 matches which is a maximum of 120 individual matches each lasting a max of 8 minutes. 8 x 120 = 960 minutes = 16 hours.

16 Hours of consistant winning to make up a possible loss is not very.. fun for me :p

So I wouldnt even be willing to do $200 at $5 each but would instead do something closer to the vicinity of $100 at $10 each.
The numbers are nicer this way, 10 best of 3, 30 matches, 8 mins each, 240 minutes total, 4 hours total. Across 4 hours $100 is distributed in some way, which is similar to a normal tournament.

Doesn't Sam win moneys from tournaments?

I don't see a reason why a hobby he supposibly enjoys plus is profitable isn't worth him saving some (of the money he's 'taking' from others) to represent his region.

Of course the same could be said about 'us', but there are aspirations for some of us to at least travel to Adelaide and Perth before the end of the year; no such convictions from anyone bar Mic in Perth :(

Luckily Mic is awesome.

lol. I did heaps of studying for it today after my physics exam, which had more nuclear stuff than motion which i was pissed about lol. So i reckon i failed it but not too badly though

Ok well my physics exam had way more motion then nuclear. but in our specialist exam theres a lot of I's and J's. Very little radians. lots of indices and logs. and an average amount of everything else.

I always assumed Sam was a good saver so he should happily have $500 willing to fork out for a 'can you beat Sam' competition_ I think you're just being cowardly at the thought that someone may actually be able to beat you, alongside the fact you are trying to make maximum profit_ This isn't a business, it's a game so make it more competitive_

If you keep your payout figure at $500 i would more happily pay $10 to play a best of 3 match against you_ For $100 i'll save my $10 for the next tourney_ At $100 i'd ask $5 maximum_ Either way i can't justify a rise in match price with a drop in prize money_ It's almost as criminal as those stupid washing powder boxes that are 1/3 of the originals size, cost more money to purchase but claim it's 'just as powerful' and that you use 'less'_ I call shinnanigans_

Shaya_ I really want that eastern invasion tour to become a reailty, and would be willing to make the visit the following year in response_

I'm too young but at the end of next year I can go.

Also I'll do any amount of money with Sam up to an even (10$ for 10$ or something) MM. So I'll happily do the 100 or 50 :)

I think I am a good saver of money, but that doesnt mean its a good idea to risk $500.

As a result of me being a good saver, I dont want to hand over money carelessly, this goes against saving money and instead becomes wasting money which is the exact opposite_ So the question I ask myself is how much would I be willing to lose?_ The answer to that question is $100, the $500 figure was suggested by my brother not by me :p_ at $100 vs $10 you get 10 tries against me and if you win on the 10th try, its as if nothing happened, if you win any earlier than that then you gain money._ Basically its a MM where I am at a 10x disadvantage_

Oh and radians pwn and Taylor Series are annoying_ Remember now, if you need maths help I'll help ya!_

Perth is a very nice place and i have expirienced living in a bad place like sydney before and when we moved to perth it was much better.

Also Perth is a better place to live in then Melbourne to be honest. 2 hours an a half of studying going to study more.

If you can integrate e^-x² without using power series your insane by my standards.

What does this have to do with anything....hmmm... not really anything? Oh well ž

3 + 1 = 4 btw

Oh and lEtS nOt FoRgEt ThAt I have an exam tomorrow

Yeah I knew that my maths teach told me lol. I came up with a new idea for you sam.

1/infinite = 0.000000000...1
0.0000000000...1 = 0

1\infinite = 0

times each side by infinite

(1/infinite)*infinite=0*infinite

1=0

lol just something i came up with in normal maths class

1 / ∞ = 0

(1 / ∞) x ∞ = ∞ / ∞
but then (1 / ∞) x ∞ = 0 x ∞ = 0

so (1 / ∞ ) x ∞ = ∞ / ∞ = 0

so ∞ / ∞ = 0

Dealing with infinity and complex numbers gives strange results :p

Unfortunatley its not proof of anything :( ∞ multiplied by anything is undefined, even when multiplied by 0.
