Currently I'm only playing C. Falcon and I find, that I'm kind of stuck with him. So, I went for a change and started picking up ZSS as my secondary. While I still have to figure out a lot about her (and Smash in general), I kind of wonder, what you guy think about wavebounce and b-reverse. How useful is it? I haven't seen it being used a lot in tournaments, that's why I wonder.

B-reverses and Wavebounces are great with ZSS. Personally I need to implement it more (and get wavebounces down in general), but I'd say ZSS has one of the best B-reverses. It changes her momentum a lot and can really be used to space and mix up opponents. Definitely worth using.

Thanks! I share your opinion, it's just that I haven't seen it being used a lot in competitive matches. Maybe depends on the matchup?

I love using b-reverses and wavebounces. The mixups for paralyzer are great, and you can do them with side-B too but since Plasma Whip is booty in this game I rarely do that. I've often seen Nairo backwards short hop towards his opponent and then B-reverse Paralyzer forward so that he goes backwards and shoots forwards. This is basically is what wavebouncing is normally used for except it's a lot easier, at the cost of a bit of the mind-game craftiness.

In my experience wavebouncing isn't really too great of a neutral/approach option; if you try charging it then your opponent might see it coming and if you don't charge it it can be difficult to follow up in time. It's probably best as just a mixup rather than a strategy. One way I can often land fully-charged wavebounced Paralyzers is by jumping towards a recovering opponent and then wavebouncing, so before they react I've shot them as they land. I like to do the same thing with Roy's Flare Blade.

I utilize a lot of B-reversing/wavebouncing in my ZSS and Roy gameplay, more than anyone I've seen. But I'm not a tournament player, so what I do isn't exactly the best example. Yet I would definitely recommend learning the techs if even just for mixups; they really widen your range of options.

I practiced b reversing a lot and I've only recently started using it in actual matches. It's really helpful.

Thanks for your answers. I will keep on practicing it. I've gotten pretty solid and consistent at using it already
