Wavedashing in Brawl... (Hacked version)

Can someone link me to a thread or somewhere that shows me how to get the tools necessary to do all this? I don't have an SD card which I know I need, but I don't know what Twilight Princess (the hack) or Ocarina (the hack) is and what it does exactly. I wanna know more about it, what it does and how it works.

I'm reading the WiiRD thread right now, but still doesn't sound the safest. I wanna try it though, still.

You need Twilight Princess in order to install the Homebrew Channel on your Wii. You then download Ocarina, put it on your SD card, and load it with the Homebrew Channel. Ocarina is a cheat device, much like Action Replay. (My in-a-nutshell summary)

You need to understand that Brawl is a different game than Melee, and we appreciate that. However, we now have a way to bring over elements from Melee that we wished were in Brawl. You need to understand that Brawl is a different game than Melee, and we appreciate that. However, we now have a way to bring over elements from Melee that we wished were in Brawl. As long as the competitive scene for the TRUE Brawl doesn't die if Melee 2.0 joins in (which I doubt) then people don't really have a reason to complain.

Though it if it does, then tourneys and lots of other things would have to change, including this forum, because the game will basically be divided into 2 sections.

Is it really possible to change model details like that? I didn't know it was possible to decompile and edit the ISO with it still being able to boot on Wii. Or does a modchip allow this?

I would personally love to see a seperate "Hacked Brawl" subforum. Although I would not mind Hacked Brawl to be the standard... as this is how I prefer to play, I definitely do not WANT it to become the standard. Standard tournaments should be kept as Normal Brawl for obvious reasons, some of which being not everyone has a hacked Wii, and well, original Brawl is how it was made to be. (Not saying it should be MEANT to be played like this) ... I love game mods.

Nope. Stack Smash has said in the past they'll do a Roy texture but no texture yet. Syntax Error has already done 2 for Ike and 2 for Marth so I doubt they'll make one.

First off, it's totally safe.

All you need is TP, an SD card and an SD card reader. It's a simple hack and there are tons of guide on youtube and on the internet.

By the way, you also need WinRAR which is a computer program you can download for free.

Alright, I've fixed(hopefully) most of the freezing glitches going around... But there's a high chance that there could be more.

I've also made sure that the code won't mess up if there's any codes before or after it just in case there were any bugs caused by doing that.

Anyways on a serious note, good job with making a video on that. I personally like having wavedashing in Brawl. It makes the game so much deeper, but added hit stun and L-canceling would be the most important tool to have people at LEAST considering in a Brawl tournament.

Yah, I know dude. His WD is decent enough to follow someone after his D-throw, it's SOOO nice. Although, when I was messing with it yesterday, it didn't seem to chain well into another Fthrow like his run does. I'll have to try it again though to make sure. Sad part is, his Dsmash and Fsmash I believe stop the momentum of his WD much like Luigi's (except, not as instantaneous). You could still use his Fsmash for a retreating WD to space it, but... I don't think it's a wise choice.

Going to have to experiment further with Falcon and see if I can find any other set ups or "combos" with his WD. Anything that leads into knee is delicious.

I too, have been doing a lot of experimenting with Falcon. I loved him before, despite his weakness, but this just makes him even more fun. @__@ I'm sliding around Battlefield like Fox in my Melee days!

if l-cancel was like it was in E for All, which was fastfalling after excecuting your aerials, then yes i would consider it cause that wast the only advanced technique i missed from melee. if it was to hit the L button like in melee, then no. and added hitstun? only if it was half the hitstun melee had, but its more hitstun then brawl would have had. i hope that they can find a code for l-canceling, the one that happens when you fast fall after your aerials.

I just tried it out. It's fun to mess with and it works really well. You air dodge directionally and you go into freefall mode after doing it. It works exactly like Melee. You can even Smash out of it. Luigi still has an awesome WD

Well with most digital cameras, you can put your SD card in, connect your camera to your computer and browse your pictures on your computer, right? Well it works the same way with any type of file.

Try to do this. Connect your camera to your PC and go to My Computer and see if it shows up there. Do not use photo-importing software. You may have to right click your camera's drive in My Computer and click "Explore". Tell me if this works.

And yes I am aware that there is something like this on the No Tripping Code thread but we need something much more specific, like even an idiot would be able to understand.
