What if the new Pikmin are used for specific moves?

From what we've seen so far, Olimar may have very well been nerfed to only 3 Pikmin out at once.

Of course, Pikmin chain would be much harder to use as a recovery in this state. This got me thinking, what if the new Pikmin types are only used for certain moves? Like the Winged Pikmin being used as a recovery? And what could the Rocks be used for, if not regularly used for the same attacks as the original types?

Well, if we're talking specific uses for Pikmin...


-Rock Pikmin can be used for a meteor smash.
-Blue Pikmin can be used underwater (if a mechanic like that is made)
-Yellow Pikmin can be sent forward to stun the opponent.
-Red Pikmin can leave fiery traps wherever Olimar places them (think PK Fire, but in the form of Snake's D-Smash)
-White Pikmin can walk ahead and release poison to dizzy the opponent.
-Purple Pikmin can break shields.
-Winged Pikmin for recovery.
