I ment letting us know way before it comes out. I know that the Wii price is a given, but what about the nunchuku, extra controllers, and other stuff?

Well, every Wii comes packaged with a Wiimote and a nunchuk attachment. Probably cables as well, and the whole package is less than 250$. And there's always the possibility that Wii Sports will be packaged too.

Source?
I was hoping there would be a big package for 250 with two controllers.

Searching for my own way of the ninja.
Yea, you might wanna post a source for that info, because it seems like just a guess.

Because if it was announced by Nintendo, it'd be, ya know, all over the net, and we wouldn't be speculating.
Just a thought. :p

I imagine if they price oit at $250, it'll come with another controller, Wii Sports, and MAYBE a CLassic controller.

They're kinda gonna want Classic controllers out there, what-not with the Virtual Console bit.

But yea, if this October 2nd speculation is right (the 'encoded message' in their latest announcement) then Nintendo needs to get info out SOON.

Lauch date, price point, virtual console details, extra controllers...it all needs to come out.

At this point, they don't have time to hold their cards back much longer.
They're probably just finalizing things and trying to figure out what would be the best move.

But they really should push for October--head start before PS3 will give them more of a fanbase, and they'll have that much more time to push more consoles out in time for Christmas.

Now I need to figure out how to go about pre-ordering one...someone who can mail it to me...

And the other problem is that I need to order Zelda, but I'm bnot sure which version I want yet.
I guess there's still another month or two to worry about that, though.

During E3 (or shortly thereafter) Miyamoto or Iwata made a point of saying that the Wii won't exceed 249$. They gave the price in Japanese Yen; however, it converts to around 250$ or so.

Let's cross refrence this list with the rumored launch dates "decoded" from the press statement. The most popular dates are 10/2, 10/9, 10/19, 11/19 and a few others.

By Oct 2, the tour will have only stopped in 5 citys. By the 9th, they will have shown it off in 10.
By the 19th, half the citys on the list would have had their chance.

The system will definitely be under 250$, and it will come with a Wiimote and a nunchuk attachment. If you don't believe me, look it up yourself, because I don't feel like looking for it. There's speculation that, if it is 250$, it will come with Wii Sports, but that's just a rumor. There's still a chance the system will launch at 200$. But the first sentence in this paragraph is true, according to Satoru Iwata and Shigeru Miyamoto.

Hey, the lower the better. As long as I can walk out of EB with A Wii, spare controller+ nunchuck, Twilight Princess, and Metroid for under $350 I'm happy.

Nah I still got that in mind. Tax should be around $25-$35 if estimate correctly. So lets see here.........

Wii: $200
2 games: $100
Spare controller+ Nunchuku: $35? (optional)
Tax: $35

Total: ~$370

I'll cover since it was stated in Nintendo Power last month. The package, which includes a wii, wii remote, wii nunchuck, and (wii sports???), will be priced so as not to exceed $250.

I'm going to call bogus on those specs. Devs have been calling the Wii a "souped up Xbox," right? Well, comparing the specs of the original Xbox to these specs, the original Xbox has more impressive specs. According to that article, the original Xbox has a stronger graphics card, faster CPU, more memory bandwidth and they have the same amount of system RAM. So yeah, I'm going to say bogus.

If thats true, I pray that its bogus. I already have a freaking Xbox. I don't want a system just like it.

About half of the links Great Marth posted were false. Doesn't surprise me that the specs (which I didn't read) are also false.

Didn't Nintendo give a rough outline on what the specs were a few months back?

I think the Wii will have graphics to at least compete with the other systems. Of course not better but hey the counsil that has been the most powerful doesn't win according to past.

Meh... I'm not so sure. The Gamecube's graphics was scribbling compared to Xbox and PS2. Graphics and Gameplay are the two biggest concerns of games and systems perspectively. Wii may boast some good graphics, but from the videos of the games for the Wii, it honestly doesn't look that much better than Gamecube's, of course we can't tell for sure until they are released.

Graphics is something Nintendo really doesn't do much of in terms of sharpness and tint, and most of that is due to the games with Nintendo's mascots FYI Mario, Link, etc. and quite frankly they probably look better anyways with cartoonish, and/or reminiscent graphics of what today's standards would be. But they also have other things that truly shine in games and one of those is heart. Regardless, Wii is the top console on my list.

Technically and graphically speaking, the Gamecube is superior to the PS2. Heck, the Dreamcast is more powerful than the PS2. It's just a matter of how developed the software is.

Nintendo has revealed nothing about the specs. The specs that were going around before E3 were specs that IGN got from unnamed sources, probably from some devkits. Nintendo probably won't release official specs anytime soon since it only paints Wii in an awful light. Everyone needs to quit poring over such things though. We've seen the games and that's just how it's gonna be.

nobody will read this block of text

Eh...The size of 3 dvd cases or whatever seems really small...The controllers look nice though. Also, the Wii will have only twice as much power as the Gamecube, making it cheaper (or am I thinking of something else?) Along with the material of the discs or something...Anyway, I don't care much about the graphics unless you can't tell the difference between some blobby circle things and the main character. Though I like the cartoony look (i.e Wind Waker Link), amazing graphics will surely help. I'll be buying a Wii mainly because of all the great games that are coming out for it and that downloading popular N64 (I will finally get to play LoZ:OoT!), NES(I don't have an NES, this is good for me), and SNES (I already have some games that would be considered very popular, though I'm sure I don't have them all) game thing.

I'm sure that I'll get one in a week of its release considering the 100s of people that will rush into the store to buy one first :]

The rumors are that it will be 2-3 times more powerful than the GCube. Since no official, final specs have been shown, no one actually knows.

And honestly. You prefer Pichu to stay in for Brawl and Jigglypuff to leave?

Lame.

Play Resi Evil 4 on Cube, then play it on PS2. And remember that the PS2 version was done after (so no the ps2 one was done first)

I was just wondering if that was actual boxart. Either way, I'm using that for my desktop.

Sorry for the low quality.
